sometimes I get the feeling that high level, subversive forces are working against the Cowboys. With a flag happy crew you can only hope that they are even-handed, which usually isn't the case with the Cowboys whether they are at home or not. I notice that the home team got half as many penalties as the visitors last week,,, maybe the Cowboys will finally benefit from the "home field" officiating that they have been victimized with before.

ED HOCHULI IS HORRIBLE!!! I've watched that guy TOO many times in this city to know he is usually in favor of the dirtier teams. He's a total Steelers/Eagles fan too. Watch out for this guy.

Only the highest graded official crews work the playoff games, so you would think that Hochuli et al must have had a good season.

Oh this guy is definetly hired by the Rooney Family to screw us over. Believe me he is HORRIBLE. Watch out at all costs, and make sure the defense doesn't make any boneheaded plays.

Hochuli and Mike Carey are over-officious jerks. That being said anything is better than Jeff Tripplette and Ron Winter.

I am also going to go out and say that ******bag owner of the Eagles hired these guys. He'll DO ANYTHING to get that fat chunky **** head coach a win and guarenteed trip to the superbowl.

C'mon! Hochuli is one of the reasons we lost to the Giants in '07. Incorrect grounding call, ridiculous personal foul on Davis, incorrect offsides against Ware. I hate that crew. I pray the refs and drops don't do us in again.

Hochuli likes being on camera and if his crew doesn't call enough penalties, he loses face-time.

If you're gonna win, you have to beat your opponent and the officials both.

While I agree that those were horrible calls, Hochuli had nothing to do with it. Pete Morelli did this game

I think folks would whine about the officials no matter whose crew worked the game. It's been that kinda season.

More Ed Hochuli

The Cowboys are 5-3 in their last eight games with Ed Hochuli as the referee and all eight were at Texas Stadium. But the three losses are notable.

He was the official for the Texas Stadium swan song, a 33-24 win by Baltimore. The Cowboys were called for 10 penalties and 86 yards. The Ravens had three penalties for 19 yards.

Perhaps more pertinent: the last two Cowboys-Eagles' games he worked ended in Philadelphia wins. Don't get carried away by that because the 2002 Cowboys finished 5-11 and the '04 Cowboys were 6-10.

And Philly was penalized more in both games. In the '02 matchup, Philly had 10 penalties for 67 yards, while the Cowboys were penalized seven times for 69 yards. In '04 it was Philly nine-for-59 and the Cowboys 7-for-50. The combined score of those games was Philadelphia 76, Cowboys 24.

With all the money the NFL makes, they are not willing to shell out a few million to have full time officials.

What are u talking about? Hochuli did that payoff game. I remember reading his lips as he said "I don't care!" When another official was trying to explain that it was not grounding. That game has been replayed in my head too many times to count.
