All needs are accurate, but they need to make sure more than anything that they add speed and explosiveness to this team. The Cowboys are sorely lacking in this, and it limits them on both sides of the ball.

Priority:

DT-decision needs to be made on Osa, have zero depth at the position. Run defense remains a huge concern.
WR-Cooks isn't expected back, they do not have a true #2 receiver on this roster
RB-our lead back scored just 2 rushing TD's all season long.

Secondary:

Corner/LB due to the injuries of Diggs/Overshown-depth at both positions is very thin.
Guard/Tackle-might be a year to see if our young prospects can be productive starters
Safety-both our starting safeties struggled this year and are playing on their last yr of their contracts
Edge-Sam Williams is still under contract, will DLaw be resigned? Could sign another Lawson/Fowler type for depth
Cowboys Verdict: You could make a very solid argument that retaining Osa Odighizuwa should be Dallas’ number one priority this offseason. If the Cowboys were to let the 26-year-old walk, their defensive tackle group would be by far the worst in the NFL.

With all the needs elsewhere on the roster, Dallas cannot afford to once again completely overhaul the defensive tackle position. If they were to bring Odighizuwa back, the Cowboys could focus on pairing him with a cheaper, run-stopping defensive tackle in free agency instead of being forced to spend a premium draft pick on the position.

Dallas has the cap space, so no matter the cost they should focus on locking Odighizuwa up before he’s able to hit free agency and potentially get an offer the Cowboys could not match.

Prediction: Osa Odighizuwa signs a four-year, $56M contract with the Dallas Cowboys

We have a lot more needs than picks. I would go FA at DT if possible. Then draft a RB, WR and what ever else I could fill. Resign Lewis, Kendrick, gholston
Just resign Osa and in free agency sign a strong run defensive tackle.

Have either resign him or someone similar

He's up from a 3rd round but the strongest DT up for free agency, but already a strong group member with the Cowboys. That is a top shelf quality,
Question is, is he a 20 million per year player? I don’t think he is, good player but not a star, but will be asking to be paid like one

His production this past season strongly places his right there. He is productive both in pass rushing and good at run defense. He is at the top of the market right now in comparables. He's the real deal and what Dallas heeds in the box. Dallas better afford him, and they can.

When you look at his entire career I don’t think he is worth that type of contract. Not a real big sack, average against the run and tends to ware down due to his small frame. He definitely has played better this year, but it will depend on his cost

Yup. Osa's worth nowhere near 20 mil.

This isn’t rocket surgery, fix both lines and the rest will look better. The trenches cover deficiencies elsewhere.
Yup, absolutely.

OL slightly ahead of DL in my opinion.

Improve middle of DL, stop the run; with bad intentions and attitude dudes.

That's at least a.500 season.

- DT is a dire need ...but also the hardest, most difficult to acquire in NFL draft. and that's why it's a sky rocket price to buy in FA.
We'll draft a DT high in 2nd to 4th rd. if Osa walks . but expect a vet bargain 3-tech in the meantime.

- I have both RB .. WR and LB very high on the priority needs the most.

- Overshown horrific injury changes everything at our LBs, good thing is rookie LB Marist Liufau ended a solid rookie year - and really turned it on at end.
he's one young LB to build around - he should eventually be starting middle LB, be great to return vet Hendricks in a backup role .
Always try to upgrade depth - competition vs average LB Damon Clark

- We have to establish a true, dangerous, productive No.2 WR opposite Lamb,.. a Jameson Williams Detroit , Tee Higgins Cincy , Devontae Smith, Philly Puka Nacua, Rams Stephon Diggs, Hou. types
to combine with Lamb . (I say again .. Horrible scheme/mis-use by Mccarthy per Brandin Cooks) i'd love a speedy Jameson/Stephen Diggs type but hes' gonna be schemed as a big possession type
under McCarthy, imo

Osa is part of the reason we suck vs the run, but he is a decent pass rushing DT. Probably not worth breaking the bank over.

DEFENSE
- uncertainty with DLaw future - re-sign or cap casualty in 2025 ?
- Williams will need a ACL recovery year in 2025 - uncertain production
- Kneeland missed time wth injury, still developing,c ould be Dlaw replacement
- I'd return vet DE Carl Lawson to a vet 1 to 2 yr minimal deal, ditto DT Lindell Joseph
- Continue draft DL DT/DE prospects
- Return vet LB Hendricks in a backup role, pursue 2-3 more LBs

- Juanyeh vs Hooker ? Bell will be solid backup to Wilson
- I'm not for drafting safety ..unless he is a true, super-blue chipper in 1st rd. (per Cowboys philisopy)
- I want a better scheme than Zimmer -who de-emphasizes INTs.
- Re-sign vet Lewis if possible. draft another mid-late rd draftee ala Bland, Anthony Brown to develop at slot CB
- Continue to develop rookie CB Carson who struggled outside
- Unless unknown medical issues- Premature to draft CB very high with Diggs/Bland set in place.
