Think some changes will be made but not too many if you ask me. Starting with cuts.
Brandon Carr: some say June 1 cut but his savings are big and his cap hit isnt huge. Dallas gains 6.34 mil to cut him outright.
Barry Church: I'd say keep the least expensive between he and Wilcox. Dallas gains 2.5 mil
Terrell McClain: like him but he just cant stay healthy. Dallas gains 1mil

2 players free up almost 10mil in cap room. with the cap for 2016 already projected to be over 150mil im going to say around 153, according to spotrac right now Dallas has 10.7mil in cap rolling over to 2016.

Roll over 10.7mil
Cap space 2016 9.55 mil
Cuts 9.84 mil
30.09mil in cap room

Thats alot of cap room especially when you dont have any big FAs to resign. Which could if they wanted to make it easier to resign Hardy. IDK if the team really wants him back tho. I think they will try to resign him cheap but i dont think he will sign for cheap and he shouldnt.

Me personally i like what the Cowboys do now. They've built the team through the draft. Continue to do that, fill a hole here and there with a FA but dont pay retail when you can get wholesale in the draft. Keep adding these role players in FA. Low contract guys wh play a part, and build the core with the draft. Unless there is a player who will greatly improve this team and is young. Here is where that rookie contract situation comes into play. Players are now becoming UFA younger because of that expensive option yr for first round picks. Like this yr.

Muhammad Wilkerson DL(26) would immediately improve this DL. He's a DE could he move inside?
Eric Berry S(27) all heart but Cheifs would never let him walk. Fans would crucify that team.
Janoris Jenkins CB(27) gonna be really expensive dont think they would go that route again.
Lamar Miller RB(25) This is the one i can see the team doing. Off yr but still productive. Perfect fit IMO

I think the two that would help this team out the most if MIller and Wilkerson, but Wilkerson is going to get a huge contract. I dont think this team would invest that much especially after giving Crawford that big deal and a Deal coming for Lawrence soon. Miller on the other hand plays RB, hes not going to break any banks either. In him you get a proven young vet who can help right away. But the price will be more then the cost of a rookie. But a posistion that is vital to this teams success do you pay more for a proven commodity? I think you do.

QB posistion Moore played really good vs washington. Well he did when Washingtons secondary all got hurt. But IDK if i would trust him ging forward. Team now have film on him and you can bet next yr if he's forced to play team are going to jump them long throws to the outside. His throws are in the air for a long time. Thats a scary thought. So i think this team just needs to get better at QB. RG3, Manziel, or Kaepernick...I wouldnt hate or like the pickup, but i think it would be an improvement of whats backing up Romo now.

Robert Griffin just hasnt been healthy the past 2 yrs. You can see it with his movement. He has the tools to be a good QB in this league he showed this before. But when youre just not healthy alot can look bad, and it has looked bad. Think too you had a case of the HC just not wanting him at QB. Gruden you can tell just didnt want RG at QB for him. If there was a QB in FA i think he might be the best guy for Dallas. Because of just the overall talent he has and has showed before the injuries. His situation reminds me of Colombo.

I think Gus Johnson is available at RB???

sorry, im not ready to move on. Thought i was, but Im not.

Moore just isnt an answer. At best an "emergency" option.....3rd string. Keep him on the PS, just in case.

I like Miller. But DMC impressed me this year. I would like to see him and Miller though. Church is a guy I think you want on your team. Keep Brandon.

I like Kap. And a QB in the draft................

In my opinion the team signed Hardy hoping he would be a key component of a strong defense that would supplement the offense all the way to a Super Bowl. Injuries and sporadic lackluster player and coaching performance on offense stymied that expectation. I predict Hardy will be strongly targeted for a new contract this offseason in hopes the same expectation for 2016 doesn't flow down the drain again.

I was a fan of church but his game seems to have regressed. He's not the sure tackler anymore and he's never been a cover guy. You have this same kind of liability with Wilcox. Same player same mistakes. I keep the cheaper of the two for special teams.

I hope so, but i just dont think this team will offer him enough not to take a bigger deal elsewhere.

I may be wrong but I don't believe money will be Hardy's top motivating factor for signing with any team, unlike Demarco Murray for example. Hardy secured a relatively safe haven in Dallas from the controversy swirling around him. I think that facet will impact his future contractual goals.

I also do not think Hardy is going to demand a large, long term contract on the market. He has been a distraction this season, he is a PR headache and on paper, he wasn't that productive. His best bet would be to sign another 1 year deal to build up some value. Keep his head on straight like he did the last month of the season and be more productive.

Hardy has not been a distraction for his team as much as the media continually attempted to manufacture controversies on his behalf. He didn't play lights out game-in game-out but was a solid contributor of a defensive line that pressured opposing quarterbacks much more often this season than during it's playoff run in 2014. I'm confident that the the front office can offer him a contract that satisfies both Hardy and the team. The only question is whether he'll sign it.

We have the cap room and draft picks to really churn the roster in the next six months. For the most part we've been making good roster decisions. I'm optimistic that when you add a healthy Romo and Dez into the upgraded roster that we will return to our winning ways in September.

I want him back with the Cowboys. I am only talking from another team's prospective. From the outside looking in, he had average production where it matters most (sacks) and he made some comments and made a fool out of himself on social media to make matters worse. Since early November, he has dropped both Twitter and Instagram and has rarely talked to the media. It shows me that he is trying to be better.

Wasn't so much of an off year, he looked great whenever he touched the ball. For some reason the coaches in MIA just refused to give it to him consistently.

I'd like this as vet insurance a lot, especially considering the one thing we actually got lucky with last year is that McFadden somehow stayed healthy all year. Be foolish to count on that again.

Hardy has progressed passed many of the obstacles that confronted his re-integration into the league following his suspension. In my opinion Hardy will have a number of suitors willing to bid for his services because they have observed both how well he has handled his situation and the general public's stance about him continuing his professional career.

I don't Facebook or tweet so I'll defer to others quantifying ramifications of social media disrupting the public's harmony. I am glad that he or any professional athlete limit their commentary with the media. It's bad enough when athletes allow their tongues to whip themselves into a corner. It's worse when the media takes their commentary out of context.

Understand that everyone is looking to cut Carr due to his cap but does everyone realize that our pass defense ranked 5th this year. Did everyone know the reason Carr switched sides at CB was because he has a damaged right shoulder that will most likely require surgery in the off season. Maybe reworking his contract would be a better option.

I'm only on board with cutting Carr after we find his replacement.

Agree, it amazes me how many on this forum dont see how big of a loss Romo was and how it affected the dynamic of the team. With fans like these this team doesnt need "haters".

I think Dallas might just be big spenders this yr for one reason. Theyre still something like 4 or 5% under the spending floor. Remember this is the offseason they have to be in compliance. So this might just be the yr this team gets that big FA. They certainly have the money to do it with no big FAs of their own to worry about.

We already have a 1,000yard rusher who's only 28. Why spend big on Lamar Miller when you can just draft a backup RB?
id sign RGIII, trade back in the draft for extra picks and address all of the holes on the roster (CB, DT, RB)
Wouldn't pay any FA DLs other than Hardy. And no FA LBs other than McClain. This is a good defense it just needs a few more pieces to make it complete.

Because he just turned 25. And he is a 3 down RB. A short yardage back. He is Demarco Murray. McFadden is a 3rd down back. He did good but he did good because the guy had holes you can drive a semi through. And Dallas wouldnt have to spend big. Hes not getting anything over 4-5 mil a yr.
