Twitter: OG Nate Livings and DT Travis Chappelear released

just a couple of facts. callahan who is suppose to be one of the better oline coaches around worked both livings and bernie out and signed off on both. garrett, like jerry relied on his input which is what a team is supoose to do. seems like your oline coach is the best guy to evaluate oline personnel. not your head coach who is a former qb

i thought "the roster is better in the last 2 years because of garretts input" and "this is year 3 of the garrett 3-year plan"

this is not correct?

the bad signings are jerry's fault or callahan's fault and the good ones are jason?

just so i can keep my facts straight since you seem to know the facts

Man, you can whine about anything, can't you?

Sad really, and disheartening when you think about how 90% of posters on various boards knew that Livings and Berny were bad players, but the Cowboys front office thought it was a good idea to give both of them millions of dollars. My barber is a Bengals fan and I thought he was going to crap himself laughing when I told him how much money the used car salesman gave Livings.

what i love is how "jason is building the roster" but when things dont work out is was wade, or rob ryan, or callahan who were at fault

this is what happens when a team does not have a real GM, "everyone" gives "input" and "signs off" and so everyone is responsible, so no one is really responsible and responsibility gets lost is the great ether out there

What you love is finding ammo to suit your agenda, so you can whine.

Not every signing is going to be a success.

So you think the GM of every NFL team just gets "his" guys with no input from the Coaches or Scouts before he signs off? Interesting.

Do players released with injury settlements still have access to team doctors if they want to? Is their medical care to be paid out of the settlement or does the team still pay for the doctors in addition?

I think they give you a map to the free clinic.

What I love is when when people whine about people having an agenda. All of our agendas is for the Cowboys to win. Some have bad feelings about JJ, others love everything he does and will defend him to the death. That is as much of an agenda as those who don't drink his juice everyday....

FINALLY!! This made my weekend.

This really isn't the move you think it is. This move actually makes it MORE likely that Livings plays here this year. By injury settling him, it means that, unless he signs somewhere else, he will be able to sign and play in Dallas by mid-season. What you need to hope for is that he signs with another team ASAP and stay on their roster. We'd get a little cap relief from that

Even if that happens, and I highly doubt it will, he will never start another game in a Cowboys uniform unless the starting guards are injured. It will be interesting to see if any team picks him up. Goodbye and good riddance Mr. Livings.

Livings was a major mistake. Glad they realized it and are moving on.

As for Bern, he is what he is. A versatile backup who is being paid as such.

You thought differently after we put him on IR? It was obvious that he was done here

Try this bit of revisionist history on for size:

On Talkin' Cowboys from yesterday, Broaddus blamed Wade Phillips (who got fired in 2010) for being 'married to his roster' and not letting the Cowboys sign Brian Waters (when he was cut by Kansas City in 2011).

Anyone else see the problem here?
