Mickey has pimped him just off the top of my head. But I'm watching this kickass movie with Liam Nielson and I'm not going to screw around with this right now. He is bad to the bone.

I say he's Amendola the remix because he's undrafted and for whatever reason zoners are swinging from his babymaker instead of focusing on the ACTUAL roster and the players that need to improve or are trying to help others improve to be successful this year - Marty B, Felix, Miles Austin, and even Romo to name a few.

Everyone is so excited about this camp invitee and the players as far as I know haven't even put on some pads yet.

Oh, BS. We aren't doing anything but passing time talking football. He should be better than Amendola except for route running. You can't teach speed and quicks or hands and fighting for a ball. Odds are very good he either gets cut or makes the PS. If he makes the roster then good for him. That's a pretty long shot seeing who is ahead of him. He'll almost need injuries or trades to have a shot.

What a bunch of party poopers around here.

His best shot to make the 53 is returning kicks.
If he can shine there, he makes the final cut.
Looking at him closer, he seems to atleast resemble what you want in a good return man.
We shall see.

Drops...:banghead:

Once upon a time Miles Austin had a severe case of the drops and most here wanted to run him out of town. Now he is the reason TO was cut?

Based on the reports he supposedly has good hands, his work out drops could be the result of work out jitters or he is a bum, time will tell which.

I just want another Tony "Thrill" Hill man. Is it too much to ask?

I loved that guy.

First thing to look at as regards a WR (as long as he is not a midget and slower then cold maple syrup) is how good are his hands. Ogletree seems to have good hands but has a couple of bad habits in catching- that can probably be rectified. Randall Williams had hands of stone and there is nothing you cando about that- always thought we should have tried him at CB or Safety since you knew he was never going to be anything as a WR with lousy hands.

Now there was mention that Ogletree had run a 4.37 which is pretty dang fast.
So he has the speed and the size and the promise of good hands. Now its a matter if he can file off the rough edges and learn his craft good enough to make a difference.

I'm pulling for Ogletree.

Love the fact we got him for free and he's only 21.

I try very hard to not be amazed at thinking like this, but then I fail.

So now every walk-on jamoche that plays WR and has a bio stating something remotely positive becomes more than just a guy.

The question I have is this. How did we go all those years, and it's nearly fifty come next season, and didn't field this all=pro receiving team from guys who were undrafted before.

When did this management get so savvy?

Love Romo and his game. But because he is a once in a lifetime player, it seems that more and more fans are looking for treasures in the trash.

Amazing.

Now comes the list of undrafted players over the years ignoring all the 1st runders who are Hall of Famers.

A guy named Drew Pearson from Tulsa was an UDFA, and that's when the draft was 12 rounds ( I believe it was 12). Seems that he worked out pretty well. You just never know and that's why teams sign these guys.

That was my first thought. But despite his speed and size, he doesn't appear to make a lot of yac or play that big. So while built to return he may not have all the incredients. All tags aren't right so we'll see. He should get a chance.

Ogletree and M. Johnson are shorter guys than teams want at wideout. (Ogletree right at 6 foot, M. Johnson 5-11). And Sherman, I read, especially likes tall WRs.

But these guys at least a) both had pretty good production in college and b) both played D-I football. If you look around who took which receivers in round 6-7 this year, teams were taking flyers on guys from McNeese and SFA.

And I'll say it again, some dude on another board heard Jerry (in some radio interview) say that our scouts felt Travis Wilson was as good-or-better than any WR still left at our pick at 51. We'll see.

BTW Randal Williams had real lousy production at a school as small as New Hampshire. No comparisons here.

M. Johnson may be the new Crayton and Ogletree the new Austin. If so, we didn't do badly.

It's hard for a tall WR to have the quicks. You need a scat back to play the slot. You don't really want all possession and just fast receivers. At least that would be my philosophy.
