Oh well. Another wasted year. Maybe a new coach will help next season.

Far as I am concerned the season is not over.

Even if we do not make the playoffs I still will not consider this a wasted year as long as Tony Romo continues to play well.

Carolina is 4-4. Atl. lost today. The Eagles are 4-4. This was a very emotional game for the skins and it showed. Some of you guys expect us to waltz around the country and crush everyone in their backyards. The game was there for the taking.

Most game are there for the taking. But we choked again and found a way to lose in even more bizarre fashion than we did last year to them on Monday night.
This team, with these undisciplined players and coaches aren't going anywhere.
The least we should've done was sweep Washington and end there season. But we couldn't even manage that. Absolutely pathetic. I've never seen anything like it before.

We're gonna have to win that New Orleans game, assuming we're still in it.

Last week Romo was going to magically solve all of our team's problems and this week the season is over.

Welcome to teh internets.

I said going into this 3 game road stretch that the goal is to win 2 out of 3. Which is still very much in hand.

some of you people.. you build yourself up all week,, and then if the team loses, you want to fire everyone around. This is the NFL... every team every week is a dog fight. We faced a team that was very emotional, off a bye.. and lost because of a fluke play. This team played hard, fought the whole game, yes, they did make mistakes, yes they did miss some opportunities. and yes the coaching staff made some bad calls ( the only 1 I can think of though is the play that got a safety) ,, BP has said it 100 times, the margin between victory and defeat is very thin in this league.

Some of you can bad mouth the coach's, if you want,, But it was BP that missed the block,, It was BP that got a 15 yd facemask( horrible call) It wasn't BP that dropped a TD pass.

The team made mistakes but the coach's had them in a position to win the game.

Houston almost won at NY today.

THis is the parity league, anyone can beat anyone, especially if you don't commit 150 yards in penalties.

This season ended two weeks ago.

Huh? Could you please explain. Romo has started two games. The first game he engineered a great win over the Panthers and today he was about the only guy who played a good game.

I really hope you revisit this thread and explain.

those are the 3 best teams we play the rest of the yr...

8-8 or 9-7 at best, ultimately this will go down as the most disappointing season in recent memory...nobody can blame injuries or lack of talent either...we've been almost injury free and have a pretty talented team

Good post.
The coaching staff take the fall this offseason.
Plus I don't think its out of the question that a few - at least one - big names on defense aren't elsewhere, traded for draft picks, before the draft.
Who am I talking about? Somebody big enough in reputation on the defense that it shakes up the remaining players...

I think your goals are set to low IMO. I think for a realistic shot at the playoffs 3-0 on this road trip was imperative.

He is a bledsoe homer and romo hater.

Don't try to understand it beyond that because you would be wasting your time.

Here is the problem I have with your rational. Who put together this team and who coaches them on gameday?

I did not see Campo or any other poor coach getting a free pass when their players performed poorly. Sure I blame the players, but at some point if your team continues to fail year after year the coach has to bare some responsibility.

If you are referring to Roy, you are delusional. With that new contract he signed, we would take a HUGE cap hit trading him. He is not going anywhere. What we need is to spend some money on some guys that can BLOCK.

Jeez, how to you let a guy come untouched on a chip shot FG to win the game...........freaking amazing how we keep finding ways to lose.:bang2:

I don't think anyone thought you "have" to go 3-0 as imperative if they looked around the NFC. Not when you have 5 of your last 7 at home.

I guess so. He certainly should rename his blog to the BledsoBlog because evidently that is the only thing he cares about.

why do I constantly hear that Parcells needs to take some of the blame, when all he does it get all of it? we're explaining why this isnt' all Parcells' fault, not why it's somebody else's

That's the way it is with a crappy .500 football team. I don't expect Romo to magically solve anything or for this team to go to the Super Bowl.

It would be nice, however, not to choke away another game vs. Washington that we should've won if some superstar WR could catch the ball, or a Pro Bowl TE could block someone on a FG attempt, etc, etc, etc.

But another blown loss and we find ourselves handing the Commanders another giddy miracle win and allow them move within a game of us, as if that even matters anymore.

RIP 2006 Cowboys

I wish I had your confidence in this Dallas team at home. I certainly do not. I know they were on the road at Washington but when you are a team that has playoff expectations you got to take care of business against a team that has won two whole games.

You just keep talking common sense.

Actually, I thought 3-0 was realistic. Having said that, 2-1 isn't going to kill the team. I've already said that I worry more about the culmative affect of these losses like this. For right now, Dallas isn't really losing any ground though. They just aren't gaining any either.

In the end, this season will come down to the same thing that it always does. Weeks 15-17 will determine who is going to playoffs and who isn't.
