No deal is exactly as 1st stated. Rams were due to pay him 7 mill and really until the details come out it is hard to say who blinked.

they weren't going to pay him 7 mill. no one ever believed that.

I didn't realize signing players constituted as being a Madden player. I wonder if you were playing madden when you wanted us to bring in Matt Jones.

we have Mike Hamlin. Everything is fine

Actually, Ball, Hamlin, and AOA - 3 young pups, one with real experience, who are capable for now and for future development. That's why Jerry Jones could afford to wait on free agency to come to him, because if it did not, like in this case, it's not like anything is really lost. Dallas is just fine at FS.

Haha. Easily your best post I've ever read since joining this forum about two years ago.

Ball is good n Coverage..Hamlin is a huge MAYBE.

One key in this is BOS (Born on Sunday), being healthy enough to contribute this year.

If he cost $8 million I must have been.

Oh, that's right, he didn't.

Not close.

Best news of this offseason outside of Carpenters trade, Hamlin being released and Procter getting shown the door.

I don't think spending 8 million for one of the top players at his position is a bad investment at all. He's easily one of the top 3 safeties in the NFL right after Ed Reed and Troy P......If anything 8 mill is a steal for a player of his caliber.

$8 million is crazy money.

And I can guarantee you that when his deal is announced, it won't be anywhere near that.

He'll be lucky if he's making $5 million per year, especially with his injury history.

And you can say the same for guys like Reed (at this point), Polamalu, and Indy's Bob Sanders, great players who can't stay healthy. And if they can't stay healthy, they can't help you win.

I don't see how you can make such claims when RW is on our team. Getting paid 9 mill a year and hasn't been healthy in goods know how long and damn sure aint helping no1 win.
