ok computer guys

I lose signal strength once in a while but when it lasts for a long time I just reconfigure my connection, update the ip, etc. Start from scratch on your connection, reset pass codes, etc...

Been there, done that, bro...but thanks.
one of those links should be to a website where a bunch of computer techs help people out. you might have to register before you explain your problem. I figured you should try that before you give up on your computer. also you could pm the poster here Mash. he's a computer tech and has helped me before so maybe he can help you.

I've tried that at least 20 times...

One thing that bothers me is that the WEP key that I have from Comcast is 26 chars long (might be hex) but where I need to type it in, it won't allow me to type that many chars.

.NET is a program

Try uninstalling it

If you don't hear that beep then the slots may not be working properly. I'd try a usb wireless adapter.

Oh...that is a Service Pack 2.0 pack 1

Hmmm

There is also a Service Pack 3.0,,,should I unstall that too?

Check the advanced options on your card. You may have to change the type of wep key. I have seen it before but I can't think of the exact option. I don't use wireless that often. I'd have to fire up my laptop.

Sure you can always reinstall them later.

I just as well, the computer is all jacked up anyway.

Now it tells me to "Repair" .NET Framework 3.0 x86 to it's orginal state or to remove it from the computer?

If it's that jacked up I'd get any files off of it that you need and reload windows.

It would probably be easier to reload it.
