OK, Go get Ray Lewis...

The ravens are going to let him test the market. It's obvious we need his leadership and fire. If we are serious about locker room chemistry then Jerry's plane will be their to throw on the full court press the minute free agency begins. Get it done Jerry!!!!!

At this point with the assembled talent we have on this team I think a Ray Lewis would do wonders for building a team concept in the locker room, on the sidelines, and on the field. We're missing leaders. His leadership speaks for itself. We should definitely look at bringing him in.

Nope, been playing the 3-4 with Rex Ryan. Played in it all day today. Played it against us.

I remember him complaining about it in the media because he hated having to take on linemen.

Apparently he got over it.

I just looked at their depth chart and I stand corrected.

I still don't think he'd make a difference because of the top level leadership.

Yeah, let's get Ray Lewis so he can reform the locker room. Wasn't he charged with murder or something circa 1998?

I thought you meant 2008.

I think it is a small gamble. He will want to play. I don't know his coverage skills but he's not slowed down in run defense. If he can cover reasonably well then his leadership abilities will be a huge help. Who's gonna confront him? If the coaches ask him in front of all to be a team leader with the other ones then he could do it.

I wouldn't be upset over this one.

I have visions of sirens at valley ranch, Ed werder in a somber tone anouncing, Ray Lewis is being charged with the murder of Terrel Owens. It is being reported that Keith Davis can expect full recovery from the stray bullet that penetrated his buttocks while innocently playing dominoes as the fight between Ray-lo and T.O. unfolded. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in honor of T.O.'s untimely demise has ordered the championship banners to be lowered to half mast. Emmitt Smith expressed his outrageousness at only flying half the masks and had me read a text message he received saying , had it been a white guy murdered all of the mask would been lowered. My sources have confirmed the text came from Hall of famer Deion Sanders. A few more notes from Valley Ranch Boomer , Greg Ellis is reportedly unhappy with his role as the getaway driver to Ray-lo and is demanding a meeting with Jerry as soon as he returns from posting bail for the alleged gunman. He cites feeling disrespected that he had no get bailed out of jail clauses in his contract and has been in contact with Ray-lo's agent after subsequently firing his agent today. The shouting you here behind me boom is a fan they call Cowboy Chris he is apparently upset that I am responsible for the death of T.O. and that if God doesn't punish me, Patrick Crayton will come to my house and piss all over my yard and my clothes. He then stated that at least I will smell like a man. It's been a slow day here at Valley Ranch Boomer now back to you and Tom on THE BLITZ.
Da Da Dant da da dant.

The last thing we need is to dish out a huge contract to a player who's best years are behind him.

Ok Im torn on this matter, Ive always like Ray Lewis's passion for the game on and off the field... Hes a leader end of story. But bringing him to this team with his intensity would only offend and start more problems in the locker room. Im sure hes a well respected person through out the league, but if someone showed up at your work was loud and demanding, how much would you like it.

Granted the underachievers need some motivation, but Im not sure he would be the best for this team. We had a very good leader in Zach Thomas and he sat back and watched all the turmoil. It was apparently so bad hes considering going to another team when he was ohhh so happy to come hom and play!!!!!

I think the people we have should be accountable and step up to the plate. If everyone were to do their job every single play of every game, we would be playing in the super bowl and not the Cardinals who we played very poorly against and still barely lost.

Way off point here but I dont think Ray Lewis could contribute to the leadership of our locker room...

Yup, also play the 46 from time to time too, I remember in 2004 or so they started playing it a good bit. I think this year they subbed in Tom Zbikowski when they would run it.

I loved the idea of him coming here three years ago when it was rumoured that he was available...at this point he would have no more impact than Zack Thomas.

A little surprised at the Ray Lewis negativity.
Lewis is Plug-N-Play in this defense, and is a team leader and field general.
He gets in everyones face and demands their best game.

Bring in Ray to fill the Zach Thomas void, and look in the draft to grab another physical young ILB that can be groomed to start in a year or two.

He can get in their face all the he wants to but if they ignore him and go complain to Wade or Jerry it doesn't do any good.

That would be the biggest issue, IMO, to the idea of bringing leadership, film study, hardcore guys like Ray and Dawkins in here. Unless the FO and HC fully back, and support them, there would be no way that they'd be able to get their ways through to the players.

I honestly wouldn't mind the gamble though. What they bring to the table, not only on the field but off it in the offseason and film stuff, would be a big plus here if they could get the backing they'd need.
