This makes absolutely no sense. How can anyone force a dog to mate with another dog? did he tie up the female dog and somehow cause the male to become aroused and mate? The thought of animal rape is ridiculous. I guess you consider race horse breeding "rape" too since the horses are forced to mate with each other to produce offspring for the sole purpose of making money on race betting.

I'm gonna have to try this. "but Judge, I didn't rape that girl. we were just cross-breeding"

See...you don't understand.

When a female dog goes into heat? You would do it, dawg.

Dogs, live for 3 things. Love, food, and sex. That is a good dog.

Pitbulls are not made for that...they just want to kill you!

Rape involves a culpable mental state. Dogs don't have it and cannot form it.

It's real simple.

Fair enough. I personally don't think it was that big of a deal and he was made to be a scapegoat for animal activist. What he did happens more often than people know. Dogs are raised to fight and the losing dog that is badly beaten is often put down so the dog doesn't suffer. I don't agree with it, but I know it is happening all around.

I guess it just comes down to personal views on the matter, but I would still take him. He is a superstar QB and he could win games for us should Romo get hurt again.

Exactly what games did you watch Vick play that made you come to this conclusion???

Vick freaking sucks as a QB, his career rating is like 70. The only reason he got all the hype was because of his running abillity.

Vick has absolutely no accuracy or touch on the ball. He also never went through his progressions, he would look at his primary read and if the guy was covered he would take off running.

And yes, killing dogs by electrocution and by slamming their heads against the ground until their skull cracks open is a big deal in my book.

Lol...I heard a particular rumor about peanut butter and a dog... I guess that could be considered a form of rape sense the human would be using the dog for sexual pleasure. But like it's been mentioned, a dog doesn't have the thought process to forcefully mate with another dog that doesn't want to mate.

We'll, I hope they charge the pit bulls with rape, then.

That's because Algae freakin' Crumpler was his main target and everyone else was just going to drop the ball anyway. So it was real simple for Vick: if Crumpler wasn't open, run.

Here is my take on the whole Vick Situation:

I do believe that he was a target because he is a celebrity. And it is true that dog fighting has been going on for a long time now and will probably continue to go on.

I think that the government wants to take a different approach to dog fighting laws and make people aware of the risk they are taking for being apart of dog fighting. That's why Vick was made an example of, showing that dog fighting will no longer be tolerated.

With that said, I think Vick after losing everything that he has earned from playing football does deserve a second chance to redeem himself. He has already paid his dept to society.

I just don't want him here with the cowboys because we already have a circus and he would just add to that. There are teams out there that can afford to take a risk on him like the Pats, Steelers, or Dolphins were they can keep the hype to a minimum and keep the focus in the locker room.

Vick will never play another down in the NFL.

Goddell will make sure Vick serves another 1-2 seasons suspended AFTER HIS RELEASE. The last thing Goddell wants is PETA protesting outside the NFL office or at stadiums on game day.

Having a dog killer wearing an NFL uniform is a giant PR disaster for the league. Also, even if by some chance Vick did get reinstated, there is no team that is going to take the PR heat and have protesters at their stadium on game day and have protesters outside their training facility and team HQ.

I am also 100% convinced that Goddell would put the word out to all the teams that signing Vick would be a big no-no.

Only way I see Vick coming back is if he somehow joins up with the PETA, maybe go around to schools and tell his story and how wrong he was. Than the PR would do a complete 180 and he would be accepted again.

I think I remember hearing that Vick would in fact be a spokesman for PETA upon getting out of prison.

Edit:
According to this article, PETA wants Vick as a spokesman.

There are a lot of comments in this thread that are very offensive to anyone that has ever owned a Pit Bull and they should be offensive to all dog lovers.

First to JDub, how can anyone make a statement that these were just dogs and the whole thing was blown out of proportion? Have you forgotten the terribely cruel things that have come out that he did other than fighting them. Is bashing a innocent animals head in or drowing it not slightly more than creul to you. This guy deserves everything that he did to these dogs be done to him and more. Every breath Mike Vick takes on this world IMO is one too many. If this guy ever comes to Dallas then I know of one die hard fan Jerry will have lost and I am sure there are many more. Jerry is not that stupid and neither are his sponsors.

Next to the poster who characterized Pit Bulls as bad dogs. Have you ever owned or known a Pit Bull? Any dog can be bred and trained to be vicious. Generally these are the most loyal loveable dogs a person can own. I have two dogs and trust me you would enjoy my Pit Bulls company much more than my wifes Cocker Spaniel.

i dont have a problem with giving vick if the commissioner does give him a 2nd chance, everyone should be given that

i just dont want him in dallas

its like someone posted,

with the circus we already have, T O, witten, romo
the unnamed sources
the issue with wade and jason garrett
jerry jones having players over at his home
the michael irvin thing looking for a player to help out the cowboys
the new stadium
the special teams
flozell adams poor playing and he still thinks he plays well
the dan reeves jerry jones issue
the list goes on and on

so we dont need any more circus

and like i said, a source i greatly value, finally messaged me back and said theres no truth to this vick and the cowboys

so i leave it at that

i think one of the reasons why this post hasnt been ended, alot of fans have posted on it and viewed it

i think another thing we got out of this post is this

Jerry Jones, we dont need any more circus distractions towards the cowboys this year, and i think we all agree with that

and the t o, witten, and romo issue in the locker room needs to be dealt with and dealt with now

and the unnamed sources that say cowboy players or someone in the organization is talking needs to be put to rest, like stephen jones said today when asked a question, No Comment!
