I can argue about the medicinal qualities and the other states that have legalized it do not have brain dead potheads loitering the streets. Taken a good look at the streets of Austin lately?
An argument can be made that Marijuana use leads to more harmful use ... basically users seeking to get a even much more high ,, lacing it with chemicals such
as the deadly fentanyl, and other matters as such.

if it was a matter of just recreational Marijuana use only, i would have no issues with it no more than alcohol is legal.
We legalize tobacco per cigarettes and cigars that purposely burn up the lungs and create emphysema/lung cancer but yet we criminalize and ban Marijuana that is used
in medicine science ?

Texas is currently the worst state in the country. It’s why I got the hell outta there. Florida is a close second.
Texas and Florida are probably the 2 BEST states, but carry on

No use arguing the point

I do agree with the earlier comment that all states have their good and bad sides.

They've already taken billions from the Metroplex alone with their casinos in Southern OK. 90% of their clientele at Winstar is from Texas and that was in 2016, when I lived there.

Now, they're voting on recreational marijuana in a special election on Tuesday called by their Governor.

OK already has one of the most aggressive medical marijuana programs in the US with Texas with the very worst. The grade of medical marijuana in Texas is a joke.

At what point is Texas arrogance and pride enough?

200 people died because of their energy grid in the last big freeze. There is a Western Grid, Eastern Grid and Texas Grid that they've boasted about for years. It failed the citizens and they've done nothing to fix it.

If OK passes this, they will accelerate the process because they already have 10% of the population with licenses to buy. And if they pass it, you can look for Texas to do the same stupid thing OK did when Co legalized it, set up a border patrol to try and stop it from coming into the state. They got rid of that AG.

Millions of tax dollars lost to OK and LA because of gambling revenue and now they might be adding one more loss because of their 19th century views on morality. Texas is stupid, they think they can still legislate morality.

Ya know, I grew up in Arkansas and all we drove to OK for was 3.2 Coors.
I don't have a hard opinion one way or the other on this one.

But by most accounts, after a big surge, Colorado is suffering some bad consequences right now.
Again, I'm fine either way..... Whatever the people in each state vote for, I support them on this particular topic.

IF Texans ever approve casino gambling, it will pretty much be game over for the Okie casinos. And Shreveport too.

But I'm not for casino gambling personally, so it's not my horse in the race...
