Don't know if any of you listen to the Stuff You Should Know podcast, but they have a recent 2 part series on Evel Knieval.

Great memories from my childhood. Wild World of Sports shows. Jumping the fountains at Ceasers Palace. Snake River.

Just great memories.

Evel Knieval almost prevented me from reaching adulthood. Every time he was on Wild World of Sports I was soon jumping over stuff on a bike (and later motorcycle) I had no reason to try. A couple of broken collar bones from "almost successful" jumps were because of him.

Sure do. Best fight l have ever watched was Hagler vrs Hearns... both came to fight...were evenly matched and motivated to win...doesn't get any better!!
