Farniok has played really well. Why would we want to start changing things up?
Farniok has been gaining valuable experience and we are able to evaluate him as he plays. That’s a win/win for the Cowboys.
Let’s see what the young guys can do. So far it’s good enough, and they will get better with time. I hope they let this play out and let Peters get back into game shape over the next several weeks.
Farniok is the backup to McGovern. He will go back to the bench eventually anyway. But would it be wise to replace Farniok with Peters for 1 game, then replace Peters with McGovern? If they move Peters to LG, he needs to stay there for continuity unless he can't play.
But also, the LG has to pull on some plays. At 41, will Peters still have than in him? We don't want to limit the play book because Peters can't pull to his right.
As someone else said in another thread, it is a good problem to have, but it is also an opportunity to screw things up.
