If given the chance, Farniok would be a better Center than Biadasz. Plus, Farniok is already starting at Left Guard. Biadasz had best stay healthy.
TB has been a weak link at center. It does “seem” like he is playing a bit better this year. But it is very possible that Farniok would be a better long term answer at center. Farniok’s best position is probably center.

Farniok has played really well. Why would we want to start changing things up?

Farniok has been gaining valuable experience and we are able to evaluate him as he plays. That’s a win/win for the Cowboys.

Let’s see what the young guys can do. So far it’s good enough, and they will get better with time. I hope they let this play out and let Peters get back into game shape over the next several weeks.

I think Dallas will view it this way. We have Farniok for a couple more years, so if he can prove to be a viable starter at LG then Dallas doesn't have to draft a starting LG next year. Peters is insurance for this year, so we don't have to cash in the policy unless either Smith or Farniok falters. I could see them even choosing to keep Farniok in there when McGovern returns for the same reason. For a team that likes to do things on the cheap, there's nothing cheaper than a late-round pick on a rookie contract. Farniok is set to make less than a million next year and barely over a million in 2024.

Personally, I'm torn on it. I think we're a better team immediately if Peters is able to step in at guard because he adds power to the middle, but we're not going to have Peters for long. So I'd probably keep the starting lineup as is for now and have a quick hook ready.

Cowboys had a chance to steal this monster on the cheap in preseason.

Bears still not happy with Jenkins and not playing him full time. It's a coach-player trust issue at this time and relationship might be irreparable.

Could still be an opportunity for Jerry to swoop in and get a starter without using 1st or 2nd day pick.

Ok, going to keep my eyes on this guy all season.

Really like OL who hold their blocks until play is over and done.

He is a definite improvement over Connor William at guard. He is an improvement over Connor McGovern’s play last year. Anything more than that is going to require a larger sample size.

Farniok has the tools to be a very good offensive lineman. He just needs real live reps, and so far, as a whole, with Farniok in the game, it is better than it has been. So he’s doing ok.

Peters was a great player in the past, but he was a free agent for a reason. I’m not saying Farniok is better than Peters at this stage in their careers, but it would also not surprise me if he turns out to be better than the 40 year old version of Peters.

Farniok will get better with experience. I would like to see how Farniok develops so long as the team is doing well with him in the lineup.
Peters and Tyron the tutors.

Good eye. Farniok has played really well. He gets movement, gets to the 2nd level, I like watching him work.

They should consider Farniok at because when the Cowboys play defenses with a killer NT like Jordan Davis, Biadasz is going to get destroyed, while, I feel Farniok is holdup better.
You mean the killer Jordan Davis that didn't register a single tackle in last nights game?

The Cowboys have a much better OL than it looked against TB.

I believe in a few weeks they are really going to a very tough group for any DL to handle.
The Dallas defense better be up for the Philadelphia Eagles for about the next five seasons...

He really isn't.

Except for the penalties.

But play production/recognition/communication/chemistry with other OL is not close to comparable.

But he could be better fit at center and definitely at FB.

LOL. You talk smack about Zeke and Farniok, yet here they are starting. Shows how little you really know. Please continue, you are entertaining us all.
I know you're smart enough to realize your making ole Roy's day, he lives for this junk where he can find a willing "debate" partner. I would hurt his feeling a lot more if you ignored him.

But while we're on the subject, I wonder if Roy realizes it was Farniok that pulled and hustled to take out the corner on his favorite RB's long play. I think all the kids are playing pretty well and getting valuable experience. I don't see a SB this year so I'm all for playing the kids to see who ya got.

Farniok is lowest graded OL and struggles in pass pro especially recognizing and picking up twists, stunts and blitzes.
I value your opinion Bat, do you think he has the tools to get better?

Barring any injuries...with the talk going around about this OLine being pretty good...

Dak has pressure on him to produce when he comes back. Dak should be in Kellen's ear about the game plan week in and week out...and if he thinks it sets him up to fail...he should knock on Jerry's door and have a talk with him.

Kellen and Dak both need to show their worth barring major injuries.
Shouldn't he be knocking on Big Mike's door?

I get what you're saying but on a normal team you would take that up with the guy who is supposed to be in charge.

I do, he is best vs run and on the move, perhaps better suited in the pivot. But he needs to fix his mental recognition.

Farniok will make a better FB or goal line TE than McGovern was last season because he is the more effective blocker in space.

Thanks for your opinion Bat, I was impressed with the way be pulled on Pollard's long play.
