Good thing Tyron is coming back. The line is getting better but Tyler and Steele has had some busts. McGovern and Badacz have been average at best. To be honest Martin has not been dominant and Peters looks 40. Still a top 10 line though. Wait until you see the mess the Packers have. :laugh:The best part of the line is that they appear to have good chemistry. I just want to see a healthy Tyron and Tyler left side along with Martin/Steele right side.

Interesting. I wonder how they got their numbers?

Football Outsiders have the Cowboys Oline ranked much differently:

3rd best in power run blocking, and 7th best in pass protection...

We are just much better at run blocking than pass blocking.
McGovern, Tyler, and Steele have much more strength than technique. Biadasz isn't powerful but very technically sound and good at help. Much better at run blocking to the second level than anchoring against oncoming DTs. And Martin is the GOAT.
Peters is probably in the same place at this point in his career. Better at run blocking. Size and power.
Run the damn ball. We've got so many balls carriers to split the load between. Zeke, Pollard, Dak, Lamb, Turpin.

Biadasz has improved as the season has worn on. PFF had him ranked 9th in the league at C last time I looked.
McGovern, meanwhile, has been decidedly worse than average. Swappin him out for Peters is a big jump forward. Maybe McGovern can get his mojo back at FB.
Me, I want to see us go Jumbo Jumbo again, especially if Tyron comes back. Dlines compete through rotation. Keeping them on the field against lots of quality oline should wear them down quickly.

9th best OC seems about right. He’s not in the upper echelon but he’s improved from below average early last season to well above average now.

Not too surprising since our OL coach made his living off of teaching players how to hold and get away with it.
The league banned the "hug" technique in 2017. GB's passing game went right into the dumpster. MM and his minions were fired after 2 seasons.

The jumbo package with three tight ends in the 4th quarter against the Eagles in January. I like our chances.:omg::thumbup:

Can you explain how you get to this conclusion?

Someone is clearing lanes & it's often McG when I watch the games and he certainly isn't the turnstile that CWill was in pass pro.

I’m not exactly sure how this is calculated but I think it’s underrated the Cowboys O-line if it’s suggesting we are the worst pass blocking team in the NFL.

Yeah, that metric seems dubious. I don’t think we’ve seen All Pro play in pass protection from our o-line, but I also haven’t come away from watching our games thinking we’ve got issues.

Yesterday I watched the game against the ravens in 2016. Brought a tear to my eye. In hindsight, I wish we would’ve brought back Romo that year when he returned from injury

As soon as McGovern is off the field our OL will improve. I mean he isn't even the best Connor McGovern OL in the league
