1.) It worked, so I can't be too critical.

2.) I'll admit, I kinda wish that play wasn't an option right there. The best case scenario on an offensive play tends to be a TD, so maybe they go up 3 if they make the 2-point conversion. The bad news is then they give the ball back to a QB they hadn't been able to stop in the 4th quarter, and he would have had about 4:35 left on the clock. Versus the defense the Cowboys field, you can talk about heart and effort all day long, that stuff wasn't working anymore with the folks on the field, especially when rushing 3-4 guys.

Romo is only part to blame, I'm sure it's a system thing and the right to call an Audible if things go a certain way, but the system we have doesn't account for things like, time in the game, big game, momentum, high low percentage , needing points vs big play, things of that nature. Going for the first down is a safe bet when you're on the road, hostile territory, playing against a QB who can strike fast.

They won't listen, I tried.

I'll be honest I was screaming at them to just get the 3. I've always been that way. It reminded me of what Baltimore did the night before against NE, when Joe Cool threw the ball up (almost the same spot) and it got picked. Now in there case they have a defense that could have possibly stopped Brady with 2 minutes left. We on the other hand had a little chance of stopping Rogers, maybe, but not likely. That's why I run out the clock, score a td, and go on to Seattle with Rogers on the bench.

I did love the play as well, but it was super risky! Would have loved to try that one better on 3rd down however.

The difference is that Flacco threw to a guy that was covered by a corner who had safety help over the top and to a receiver who is not Dez Bryant. Those are significant differences.
