for me, the success of this entire draft hinges on the front office's choice of luke schoonmaker over o'cyrus torrence in the second round. if it turns out that there really isn't a gaping hole at left guard and schoonmaker is the second coming of jason witten, all will be well... but if that isn't the case, and torrence serves up pancakes in buffalo, then this choice will have been a taco charlton-over-tj watt-level fiasco.

I’m concerned they won’t be able to run the ball. That’s why I think they lost last year.

I feel as if they have done this enough to know the shuffling is probably coming & they have enough options to at least be flexible, when it does. Bringing back Peters or a move along those lines, see what I did there, is always on their table of options.

Put me down at a 7. And my reasons for that are two-fold.

First, I have no faith in any lineup suggesting Chuma Edoga or Ball in that spot. Neither has the adequate power or anchor to hold up inside.

Second, if the plan is to play Tyler Smith there, we’re rolling the dice on Tyron Smith holding up at left tackle. That’s a losing bet.
You must’ve been lost or asleep during the last 4 months. As per Jerry, Big Mike, SJ, Tyler, and even Tyron, Tyler is playing LT. Tyron is playing RT. They have Chuma, Ball, and Now Asim all at LG. I’m more concerned about grabbing enough toilet paper when I take a big dump. Y’all just want something to be upset about.

And you’re OK with that?

Nothing, nothing, and nothing. That’s great.

And clearly you check your brain at the door and blindly accept whatever they tell you as ‘great’.

I agree with those saying that Tyron is probably only good for a few games. When he is available though, the O line will be the best its been in years.

Once Tyron is out, you basically will have a patchwork LG. Now, what isn't being said much here is that Connor McGovern wasn't particularly good last year. I'm not sure how much of a downgrade the current back ups actually are.

Beyond that, Dallas still has free agent money and clearly thinks that G is a concern given that they contemplated getting a G at several spots in the draft. More likely than not, the guy who will man the position isn't on the roster.

And could’ve had Avila in round 1 or Torrence in 2 and either likely would’ve started day 1 IMO to fix the problem.

The oline and the guard position may cost us a legitimate shot at doing anything special this year.

More concerned about what happens when the starting LT misses games again. And what are the odds he doesn't?

Im confident they will have more than their fair share of injuries up front, so I am greatly concerned.

I think Edoga is just as good (or bad if you prefer) as McGovern. So while I wanted to be better than McGovern, I think our floor is similar to last years OL and our ceiling is very good until Tyron goes down. If Tyron is back for the playoffs like last year and we are able to play our best 5 we are very good. I also expect us to sign another OL to fight for the first chance to replace Tyron when he goes down now that we didn't go there early in the draft. Time will tell

Since he is talking about Edoga in the post you replied to, you are misinformed...Edoga is 25.
I am misinformed about a lot things this FO reliance on Tyron is not one of them

He who I was talking to got that I believe
