Tight end Martellus Bennett has practiced all week after missing the previous two games with a concussion.

"He looked like he did when he went out,'' head coach Wade Phillips said. "He looks fresh. He's running routes good and it looks like he's blocking well.''

Bennett said he got a different perspective while sitting out the San Diego and New Orleans games.

"Yeah, he told me he matured in a couple of days,'' Phillips said with a chuckle. "That remains to be seen in his personal life, but on the field...

"No, he's got a good attitude.''

He matured because he realized playing time was in jeopardy since John Phillips has clearly been out performing him on the field.

He hyped himself up so much in the offseason, and besides Roy Williams, has been THE biggest disappointment for Dallas this season.

Maybe someone told him who Wally Pipp was.

Longhorns simply can't allow Aggies to beat them...at anything.

Realistically speaking...

What did you expect from the second tight end?

"Create mismatches", "Work the Seam," "Red Zone Freak."

yep...

Bennett has been a disappointment thus far, I can't deny that. What we saw out of him in pre-season lead many to think he would have a big season and it has not worked out that way.

I also have no doubts what he is capable of, but he really needs to get his head into the game and focus on the job if he can do that he can be a big help to this team

Lol at he hyped himself.

He worked hard all training camp and made plays when giving opportunities. Did he like hire a PR guy to tell everyone that he's good or something?

Sam Hard his a ****ing bum too. He hyped himself in training camp

Are you kidding me? You're comparing Sam Hurd's hype to Martellus Bennett? Did Sam Hurd ever come out with a nickname for him and Miles Austin about how Hurd was the flashy one and was ready to make big plays?

MartyB has gotten probably 3x as many opportunities to prove himself in a game.

I don't think he personally hyped himself up. All the training camp reports did.

Unfortunately, his impact hasn't carried over into the passing game like many thought based on those reports.

gee another camp hero that turns into a pumpkin in the regular season. How often have we seen that over the years? ANd how many gomers were making all sorts of claims at what he would do this year? Funny how none of them are owning up to it now.
