Ok so what quarterback and offensive line did Pollard have? Because I don't recall him struggling or underperforming in the time he had out there......
Ok so why did Zeke not have a. few plays to skew his own stats? I'm not arguing who's better. I'm arguing against the argument that Dak somehow needs Zeke even though Zeke looked bad without him last year.
But you brought up Pollard who struggled under the same circumstances
The reason why Zeke's "splash plays" wouldn't skew his stats because he didn't have very many last year lol. His longest run of the year was 31 yards.........has nothing to do with his sample size. There are a number of reasons why a few splash plays would not skew Zeke's stats, not the least of which is his sample size was MUCH larger. As I'm sure you know the larger the sample size the less significant any single data point becomes. There is also a matter of utilization patterns and running styles. Moore runs Zeke almost exclusively up the middle while he tends to run Pollard more to the edges. This makes sense given their build and running styles but it also means Zeke will necessarily have fewer big plays and a lower per tote average. Add in that Zeke also gets many more short yardage carries and you get what you get. Still I have been saying for well over a year that if Kellen Moore is going to run out of shotgun as much as he does and be as quick to abandon the run as he is, then we should trade Zeke and draft another scat back to pair with Pollard. Zeke is wasted in this style of offense and we will never get true return on the investment in him if we're going to play this style of offense. And since we now pay Dak 3 times what we pay Zeke it's a good bet we ARE going to continue to play this wide open pass happy style of offense. So Zeke is probably never going to be among the league leaders anymorie in anything except blitz pickup opportunities. So people will hate him for it.
But you brought up Pollard who struggled under the same circumstances
he also didn't blow anyone away either, the numbers aren't that much different
Shut up.
I know your whole schtick is trolling, and you don't really have anything intelligent to add, but the internet is made worse by your existence on it.
A myth lol.Without Zeke defenses would pin their back and just rush Dak. The Cowboys don't win that Seattle playoff game without Zeke and the online. Dak was choking at the end all he could do was run.

I mean you can tell me as many times as you want lol......at the end of the day no one can sit here and tell us that Zeke only struggled because he didn't have weapons around him when Pollard didn't either.....
The whole "the backup always looks better than the starter" is irrelevant here. Because this isn't about who's better. I'm not arguing that Pollard is a #1. What I'm saying is if that excuse was valid for Zeke than it should've effected Pollard as well. It didn't. Pollard even started for Zeke and had a solid game.
So no. There's a reason why Zeke is training harder than he has before. He knows what the deal is. You guys are trying to pacify him here but he knows the deal. He's not training hard for the hell of it. He's not "in the best shape of his life" because he was good last year.
If you watch Zeke you know he's not the same back. Good or bad....he's not.
Dalton was just getting a feel for the offense and he won more games than Dak did.I must have missed the game last year where without Dak, Zeke just kept on trucking....
Ok fine I'll list some, don't move the goal posts though. Miami, NYG, WAS, Detroit, Philly, Buffalo, LAR, WAS again, Cleveland. When you have no rebuttal....
Can't name a single team who paid.
Because I'm not pitching away at 6 games...I'm referencing what he did ALL season last year. You're taking away some of his carries and stats to benefit your argument yet you aren't doing the same for Zeke.Seriously? did you watch our games?
In games where he got at least 8 carries here are Pollard's lines:
AZ game 10 carries for 31 yards
PITT 9 for 57
BAL 8 for 22
Cincy 11 for 39
SF 12 for 69
PHI 9 for 12
So in the 6 games where he got a decent usage rate he was under 4 ypc in 4 of them and under 3 ypc in 2 of them. How is this not "struggling?" And let's not forget that in the SF game he gained what ? 49 yards on his last two carries to end the game otherwise up to that point in the game he had amassed a whopping 18 yards on 10 carries?
Yes it did.. see above.
I agree Zeke is not the same back that he was in 2016. He's bigger and stronger and hopefully smarter. But probably not as fast and quick. He certainly is a far more patient runner than he was coming into the league. Backs frequently find that as they go through their careers in the NFL they have to constantly evolve their game in order to be effective. I think Zeke has done that. But no one will ever convince me that much of his falloff cannot be attributed to the way Moore uses him as much as anything. If that doesn't change, I don't think the results will either.
How could he not? Didn't Dalton play the whole NFC East? The worst division in football? How the hell could he not get more wins? What was Dalton's record against actual competition?Dalton was just getting a feel for the offense and he won more games than Dak did.
You must have missed the point of this thread, then.I mean you can tell me as many times as you want lol......at the end of the day no one can sit here and tell us that Zeke only struggled because he didn't have weapons around him when Pollard didn't either.....
