One game out of 1st place, 3-2 in division

Yes but we would be doing it WITHOUT our top 5 in the NFL QB for most of the season (and top 5 receiver, who was finally back to game shape yesterday)... not so bad when you consider that... give the team its due and for Cassel's learning curve. The winning streak I predicted has begun

I will not give the team its due, because they should have won at least 2 of those games without Romo. They blew it. What winning streak? Winning one game isn't exactly a streak. Come back and talk to me if they beat GB and NYJ, which would make it 3 in a row.

You know what's worse? That there are probably more Eagles and Giants fans that are happy with the Boys winning than there our Cowboys fans themselves. To me, that's just sad.

It's possible for sure, I just think one of them will get to 7 since each team has a division game left. One of these teams will win another game outside of the division. What a horrible year.

Not sure one of these teams will win another game outside of the division. There are only two games guaranteed to be won among the three, and that's the division games between the Eagles and Commanders and Eagles and Giants.

Eagles could easily fall to Buffalo and Arizona. The Giants to Dolphins, Panthers and Vikings. And the Commanders to Chicago, Buffalo and us. In fact, I won't be surprised if the division comes down to our last game against Washington (at least for Washington, because I'm not sure we'll have a shot at that point).

I don't believe so. In my opinion, those seeing gold in the 2016 NFL Draft are in the minority. I think the happy Philadelphia and New York fans far outnumber disappointed Dallas fans and most of cowboyszone has been enthusiastic about the win. I'll bet the ratio of happy Eagles/Giants to happy Cowboys fans is 1:1.

No it doesn't... Head to Head, then division record, then common games, THEN conference record.

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs
  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  5. Strength of victory.
  6. Strength of schedule.
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
  9. Best net points in common games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  12. Coin toss
Three or More Clubs
(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format).

  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
  12. Coin toss
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games........ This is about win loss with the 2 div we play, AFC EAST AND NFCS
and dallas needs to beat jets and buffalo, GB is not a common game, but we still need to win that, but if we lose one more that
would be the best one to lose as far as tiebreakers go.
div record may decide it, but if not common games are next.
That is why philly beating NE was bad, and we need them and others to lose some more games with those 2 div.

but the main thing is dallas won the 1st wash game, so that gives them the motivation to try and beat GB which is possible.
Plus we do owe them for last season !

Yeah but the boogeyman in GB looms likely slapping us back to reality.

If we beat Green Bay, I think we'll win the division. I think we do no worse than split our last 4 games. I see us winning 3: Buff, Jets, Skins.

Host Minnesota in the WC round
Romo back for Divisional?

I said the Winning streak has begun... streaks have to start somewhere. I just pointed out the beginning point of the streak (which I predicted, and you were sure would not happen :p)

I didn't think they would beat the Commanders but I didn't think it was improbable, but I do think that it's improbable that they will make the playoffs, so gloat now, but I think you'll be hard to find when the season is over.

I'll be right here... enjoying the playoffs. As will you

We won one freaking game against the horrid Commanders and people are already talking about the divisional round. Good grief. If we beat the Packers at Lambeau then I think its reasonable to get a little hope back. But we are going to have to play a lot better than we did Monday Night to pull that off.

If there's one thing Cassel should've learned today, THROW THE BALL TO DEZ A LOT.
I don't think Dez is very good at getting separation. I think that is why Cassell or Weeden don't throw it to him often. But when you get him in one on one situations I think we need to just chuck it up to him more often. He's physically gifted enough to just make things happen.

It goes against everything a QB learns in running an offense but he just needs to do it. :)

I played around with the ESPN Playoff Machine and one thing that stuck out to me is Dallas really needs for Philly to lose to either Washington or NYG in most of the scenarios.

We'll see.

Truth be told, weren't you just a little excited watching the Skins game?
Were you not standing during the 4th quarter, as most of us were?

You do know we have a top 5 in the NFL Defense... http://www.nfl.com/stats/team
and our offense is getting it's feet under them with Cassel.
That is a formula for winning.
Cassel knows how to win. And our weapons on offense are pretty potent.

We'll be talking after GB and the Jets... you will be a convert :starspin:

The Cowboys got everything going for them last week with the exception of Philly winning. We can only wait and see if close to the same thing happen for the next couple of weeks.

The Seattle, NO, and TB games are haunting us right now because the Cowboys shouldn't have to hope and pray that other teams lose.

Apparently you weren't on this board when the game ended. I was one of the first one's who stated that I didn't care too much about the game going into it but as the game got tight down the stretch, my fandom came out and I was rooting for a W. I was happy for the W, but I still don't believe in this team. We'll see.
