One Hit Wonders

But I think my favorite song that qualifies as a one hit wonder is Danny O'Keefe's "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blue"... great song...

Dwight Yoakam does good cover of this song.

Can't think of any favorite one hit wonders but these 2 songs from the 70's got a lot of play time on the radio. Never remember any other songs from these 2 singers.

I was hoping BP would post Safety Dance and then tell his story about that song.

Safety Dance is classic, gotta love a video with a midget in it.

As for the poster who put Beck's Loser up, Beck isn't a one hit wonder.

Other well known two hit wonders, Golden Earring with Radar Love and Twilight Zone.

If you consider their duo period as different from the group era, then yes they were as I Touch Myself was only song from the duo time to hit number one.

Whenever I think of one hit wonders, my mind naturally turns to Gilbert O'Sullivan, and the immortal "Alone Again, Naturally"...

I thought the song sucked, but it got a lot of airplay... then I had the "opportunity" to hear the album it came from, and I can tell you that I certainly understand why he was a one hit wonder...
