Still making em ABQ. We are down in the Keys in another month and me and my brother plan on going out a few times with my Stepfather. We will probably let him slide in some Bertie. It makes him pretty dang happy.

My son is old enough that he will probably get to come out with us too. I can't wait!

Take a pic if your able Joe Rod. I think I'd like to see that.

:)

When I was young I thought he was a black guy then I saw he was a nerdy white guy.

Too bad he died of AIDS.

He did have hits in other genre though and was part of the Edgar Winter Group.

Bertie Higgins song is a good choice.

Lynn Anderson - Rose Garden

Oh my, ABQ... do a little homework, my friend...

Lynn Rene Anderson is an American country music singer and equestrian known for a string of hits throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, most notably her Grammy Award-winning, worldwide mega-hit, "(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden." Helped by her regular exposure on national television, Anderson was one of the most popular and successful female country singers of the 1970s. In addition to being named "Top Female Vocalist" by the Academy of Country Music twice and "Female Vocalist of the Year" by the Country Music Association, she has charted 11 #1, 18 Top 10, and more than 50 Top 40 hits. She was the first female country artist to win an American Music Award in 1974, as well as the first to headline and sellout Madison Square Garden that same year. Anderson was named Billboard Magazine's Female Artist of the Decade (1970–1980).

I'll forgive you this time... ;)

Harold Faltemeyer's one claim to fame, but a better version than the original. Or worse. You chose.

I was discussing this with a buddy last night. Steve Perry obviously scored a lot of hits with Journey, but he only had one top ten "hit" as a solo artist. My buddy feels that he fits the criteria because his solo career is separate from Journey, but I have a hard time lumping him in there. Would he be considered a one hit wonder?????

Foolish Heart may have only peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, but I always liked it so much better than Oh Sherry. So, 18 is not so bad. He had other songs, but they just never measured up. Maybe he is another two-hit wonder.:p:
