Let's not go imposing impossible restrictions that would kill off all discussion on CZ, now.

Think you should really BE A MAN and check yourself. I made no such thread like that about Ratliff....EVER. Go check my post history, I encourage you to. You will very quickly find out you are confused and have me mixed up with someone else. In otherwords.......YOU ARE WRONG. Truth is you CANT find any such thread started by me, or me even in it at all. If you can PROVE IT, Fact is you cant. Im a huge Ratliff fan and have made that very clear in this thread. One should really at least know what they are talking about before they talk, wouldnt you agree???

I stand corrected and apologize. I took a brief look at your posts and it looks so far like it wasn't you.

NO PROBLEM BUD. And im sorry as well for coming at you so hard. Just fought fire with fire was all. Were all Cowboys fans here. Truth is,...sometimes I post things just to stir the pot, make things interesting. Say alot of things tongue and cheek and just assume people will KNOW im only joking. Thats where I go wrong, its hard to tell sometimes if someone is kidding or not just by looking at the written word. I STILL do believe Rogers would make us a better team though....:)

NFL definition of "Diasaster waiting to happen" =

underachieving overweight player with poor work ethic + enabling, meddling owner + cream puff coach with no back bone.

you figure out if it applies in this case

;)

How can he be underachieving? As Ive said, go compare his stats to other nose tackles/ you very well could be shocked. Truth is his stats dominate most other nose tackles stats.

Love Rat. Love him. BUT, we can't play him as much as we are AND expect him to last the season at same level of play. Look at last year. He was beat up and worn out at end of year per all reports.

He ends up in ice tub after every game. We need someone to spell him a bit more so he is key for us down the stretch.

We can't afford a Rogers though.

I would like to see this team make a move for a veteran LB maybe if there is one out there. I worry Brooking will wear out too, and not sure on whole safety position. Can we replace Hamlin, hehe.

Last season was Wilforks best I believe. He put up 66 tackles and two sacks. What did Rogers do last season? Put up 76 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Rogers also makes Casey Hamptons numbers look paltry. Underachiever you say?LMAO. How can those guys, with far less impressive numbers be considered gamers, yet Rogers be considered an underachiever with far better numbers. ??? Truth is Rogers rep is nowhere near what the reality of the situation is. FACTS bear this out to be TRUE!

Gee, a quick scan of the stats shows that he also blows away Jamal Williams career stats too! WOW, imagine that. How in the world did this fat, lazy, part time BUM do it. Ownage of Williams, Wilfork AND Hampton, Rat too for that matter and I love Rat. Hmmmmmmmmmm

I am on board, but 2010 draft will be deep and they are without a 5th rounder from the Denver trade. Pick needs to be low or 2011.

I like the idea.
I said so a couple years ago when Detroit parted with him.
Rogers is dominant at times and would make a great NT in 3-4.
He's the best DT in the NFL when motivated.

Rogers IS a NT in a 3-4. Cleveland still plays the 3-4, albeit not the Phillips 3-4 which would increase Rogers' numbers considerably. I wanted Rogers too when Detroit was trying to give him away. I don't think Cleveland is in that giving a mood, when it come to Rogers anyway.

Hearing rumors on the Cleveland board that says Rogers is up for sale. Rumor is San Diego MAY be interested. Then THIS......Rogers excused from practice, not injured. Hmmm....Anyway..consider THIS for next season. Lets say we do lose Spears and Bowen to free agency. Then what? By trading for Rogers now we end up with a line like this next season....Olshansky takes Spears place at left end IF Spears leaves, Rogers to the middle, Ratliff to Right end. Funny thing about it....would almost have to make those line adjustments out of need but would end up with the best 3 man line in football.

Anything to beef up that line is good with me. We should shop Abram Elam too, then maybe we can finally sit hamlin.

I'd make a crack about your username, but I'd need to know what it meant first. Is that your superhero alias? Shouldn't you be saving Dorothea from the wicked witch? C'mon, a little help here?

Whatever. Add something valuable to the conversation or be quiet. To just make hit and run troll posts doesnt mean anything. What are you, Rudy Gullianni's kid standing behind his shoulder and mugging for the camera?

I'm on board with this.

Rogers is a disruptor. Like Ratliff, he impacts the run AND pass game.

Bowen and Hatcher have been getting a lot of snaps in passing situations and I haven't seen much pressure from either.

A rotation of Rogers/Ratliff during run downs would help keep both of them fresh down the stretch.... and I'm salivating just thinking of a nickel d-line of Spencer - Ratliff - Rogers - Ware.

This move makes too much sense.
