What to say to families who have sacraficed family? Only that I am sorry and that no thanks will ever be enough. It does little good now and perhaps it never will but to all of you I say thank you from a greatful nation. It is cliche, I know, but it is as honest a statement as I can make.

All I can say is thank you and I that I am very, very sorry for your loss. I am very, very greatful for Scott Hagerty and all the men and women like him.
