4th and 2...and we run a play out of the shotgun...

forget that it was a pass (even though much can be said about that), but you just took a 2 yard play and made it now a 5-7 yard play...

idiot.

Its like he learned nothing. He came out and OVER ran it we were getting like 6-8 yard chunks per run play. Then on a 4 and 2 we pass LOL.

Dallas ran the ball very well today. Unlikely it would have been a no gainer.

I don't have a big problem with that call. IIRC Barber didn't do a whole lot of blocking on that play.

Behind a massive Oline that had been averaging 4.6 yards per carry and with Barber running the ball?

I'd be cool with that.

Although I thought that was one of his few hiccups today.

I think you're trying to suggest that the play is more difficult because Romo is farther away from center.

Unless we called a QB sneak on 4th and 2, you would have to apply your reasoning to all other scenarios. If we throw, a three step drop makes it 5 yards. If we handoff to a back, it's 4 yards.

Or whatever. I just think your reasoning is silly.

things change. our passing game looked good all the sudden at the end. could have just as easily gotten 0 yards on a run play.

All you do is complain. We won, FYI, that is GOOD.

Is this your new signature? I like it. Fitting.

It might have, but it would have been a better % call, especially considering how erratic Romo had been most of the game to that point.

Again, I think people are going overboard a little on the playcalling from this game, which wasn't the immediate problem, but this is a classic example of Garrett needing to get too cute.

When you are in need of short yards allow you rb momentum, and yes...get closer to the line...there is a reason goaline offenses are not run out of the shotgun.

7-3.

Dude, even your sig is about you complaining. Tell me I'm not wrong? How come you don't put that you yelled at the coaches/players last year in your sig also?

Shotgun last week on 1st & goal from the 3 yard line. Picked off in the endzone.

Shotgun this week on 3rd & 1. Stuffed for a loss. Line up in shotgun again on 4th & 2. Fail, loss on downs.

Garrett has to stop using shotgun formations in short yardage.

actually i left it for just for you since i knew that you would be chimimg in with your usual outstanding input...tell you what...like i've said before. if you do not like what i write...try this: don't read it...

4th and 2 is 4th and 2. It doesn't become 4th and 5 just because the QB is lined up in the shotgun, or because the RB receives the ball 2 yards behind the LOS.

So we should never pass then.

Because a FB dive makes the play shorter than a pass.

So nothing but FB dives from now on. Get 'er dun Garrett.

Quiet.

The failing is funny.
