Does anybody on here ever give him the benefit of the doubt.
He has a whole other world of a personal life (THAT DON'T INVOLVE HER)!!!
Maybe he had some serious illness going on in the family, he did last year, maybe like he said "There is more to life than football". He has his priorities straight now all he has to do is straiten out the FANS, and the Press. There is life and death issues to face in this world. Troy Aikman and staff are there to report on the game, not his personal life. If they did their work right there would be no issues. Keep the cameras on the field.
I hate myself for reading this junk. Find something positive to say.:starspin

I really hope that post wasn't serious and if it was than you = Chris Crocker.

Im a big Tony Romo fan and wouldn't trade him for anyone because he is our guy but his sulking body language is not good.

That goes for any guy who has ever played the Quarterback position at any level.

To me, he doesn't sulk nearly enough. I frequently see him smiling/smirking after bad plays.

Tony Romo can't do a whole lot about his receivers or the OLine. Tony Romo can only work on improving Tony Romo.

He needs to improve ball security (13 fumbles, 7 lost), and he needs to make smarter decisions. While not all his 14 INTs were his fault, quite a few were a result of him forcing passes when he should have just thrown out of bounds or taken a sack.

These things are things that can be fixed and I think he'll improve there. But I have to agree with TheCount, his body language (and the things he says after tough losses) do need to improve. I still don't think he realizes what it takes to be the QB of the Dallas Cowboys and the scrutiny that comes with the job and how to handle it.

I understand what you're saying. But I live in NJ where the "body language and expressions" of Eli were highly criticized until the Miracle of 2007 occurred. Then that same body language (which hasn't changed much) was fine because their defense and numerous breaks made him "a winner". I think a lot of this stuff is just fan/media perception and matters much less than actual production.

A lot of this crap we read about Romo and the Cowboys goes back to that stupid playoff game against the Giants where we basically dominated but dropped some key passes, committed unforced penalties, and had a couple of really bad calls go against us. Despite all of that, we were a play away from winning that game. We win that game (which we should have) and all of this extreme criticism we get is gone. That loss led to the hangover that was 2008. Throw in a bunch of injuries and close losses and now "all is lost". Whatever. Without major injuries to key players, I expect this team to contend.

I know we lost and expect all the "shoulda coulda woulda" posts to follow.
I'm just saying that I'm not concerned with Romo or his body language as much as many other things on this team.

Great post.

My thoughts exactly on that stupid freaking playoff loss to them.
People want to over analyze everything and find the reason why. Why why why. How could this have happened. Its Jerry's fault, no Wades, no its Romo and his body language.

Please. Sometimes **** just doesn't go your way.

Every single person with half a brain involved with that 2007 Giants. I'm talking players, coaches, and media people following that team closely. Every one of them readily admitt that the Cowboys were not just the better team. They were the better team that day. That was the one game where the Giants were outplayed, yet still won.

It had nothing to do with team unity, how the team was constructed, TO, or Romo's body language. Football's not a perfect sport. Best team on a given day dosen't always win. We're still paying the price for that loss.

The one thing Romo needs is a new left tackle. Between the drive killing false starts and the turn stylesque performances, Jerry gonna have to stock up on the smelling salts not to mention more life insurance:laugh2: for Romo.

As much fun as it is to see Tony goofing around out there when things are good, it's frustrating as all hell to see his body language become completely dejected when things turn sour.

So I'll say one thing I'd like to see Tony be is more stoic on the field. Don't get too high and don't get too low.

Concern about his stupid body language is not even on the list of things Tony Romo needs to spend time working on.

He's learning...just be patient. The guy is still a kid.

;)

No he's not! He is a hybrid of Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. He should have won three super bowls by now. Instead, he is a bust, and we should trade him for Cutler, who WILL win in December, WILL win in the playoffs, and WILL win Super Bowls. Heck, I'd take Matt Leinart at this point, at least he's won something!

By the way guys, j/k ;)

Hopefully this year will be more like 2007, but with a happier ending.

Only thing Tony and the Cowboys need to do is to go out and win, they do that then all this non-sense from a bunch of Sigmund Freud will go away. People see a 5 sec shot of Romo on the sidelines and all of a sudden they know what he this thinking or feeling. Winning is what will get the wolves off his and the Cowboys back

This is something I can agree with for sure. A little more of this and a little less turnovers in his gunslinger mode and I'll be pretty much as pleased as I can be with a QB.

I beg to differ, I think his team mates being able to look at him when things are going bad and seeing that it hasn't affected him would go a long way towards fixing some of the other problems we have.

Heck, I watched the rerun of the Cowboys/49er NFC game in 92 like a lot of the guys around here and you'd never be able to tell from Troy's expression that the game was over, much less that they had just beaten one of the best teams in football, much less than it was for the NFC championship and they were headed to the Superbowl.

When he threw 5 picks at Buffalo 2 years ago for most of the game he looked like he was at his own funeral. Then he led the team down the field in the final minutes to win the game.

The more he does the latter, the more the former won't matter at all.

True, as bad of a day he had vs the Ravens he still brought the team from behind twice late in the game it was the defense giving up 2 long runs. I think too many look at a 5 sec shot on the TV of Romo on the sideline and determine that is what he does the entire time they are on the sideline.
