Indeed, however that's the breaks of a rookie QB on a good team, they get to play with a stacked roster, let's not forget Dak once had an all-pro O-Line and rushing champ.
Yes, but defense wasn't even remotely good at that time.

And never will be! Some of our fans believe that Dak will make this great transformation into an elite QB. It's not going to happen, folks. Dallas has to move to a new QB.
They say it like he's in his 3rd season lol, he's been in the league what 8 years, he's going downhill

and how do you think that's going to work out.

desparate moves never work out.
Its not desperate now? Not looking great at the least.
Wed also find out what kind of real team player and leader dak really is. Does be sit for the good of the team and help coach the new qb?

Purdy looks just like Dak his first year.

Lucked out to an incredibly gifted team and is playing great. We all know how this goes...

See what Purdy does in the future with injuries to the OL or regression over the years. Plus more tape

49ers are a loaded team that also is well coached. We will see how the Eagles fare later in the season.
Argh, both teams playing with rookie/cheap QB's that help CAP facilitating a roster. Where's Wentz and Garoppolo, at some time you have to part ways with QB's who are both expensive and aren't at a difference making level.

I heard the mention he was the best quarterback in the league, last week It was Mahomes. That’s why I hate the media.

I’ve always maintained that he was “good enough”. That he was top 15 etc. but now that he can’t run I’m getting close to admitting you were right all along. I’m not there quite yet, but damn it it’s close to a formal “you were right I am stupid” admission.

He really doesn’t see the field well at all.
naw he fools us all at times when everything is perfect. He has to have everything lined up perfectly to look good. Shrugs

I don't think Purdy is 'elite' yet but he is playing great in a great team with great schemes. However the thing that makes him stand out is the quick decision making. Our pass rush had no chance.. none to even get near him.. that ball was out and on time within 2-2.5 seconds every snap. It was relentless.

Also the accuracy.. hit almost every pass on target and in stride. Was very noticeable.

Meanwhile Cowboy receivers are stopping mid route, jumping vertical and have to come back diving to try and catch the ball. I still swear that Dak will get a receiver killed or at least very badly injured at some point with some of those hanging passes across the middle.

I do think that processing speed is a key component to QB play and scouts should look at it more. I don't know if it relates to general intelligence or not.. but being able to make quick, accurate decisions is a great attribute and Purdy seems to have it. He found the open target quickly and efficiently on almost every play. I was very impressed.

Can honestly say that Dak has never shown that same ability in games I've watched.

Is how good he was at READING THINGS QUICKLY, sees the read, and he throws it, makes a decision. How is a guy that's in his 2nd season able to do this, and Dak isn't able to do this?
He has less responsibility than Dak and his coach is calling plays for him like McVey did for Goff. As poorly as Dak played, Purdy is not some phenom. Dak is just not on a stacked team anymore and he gets super tight in big games. He's not a big game QB. That's it. Purdy is not Montana and neither is Dak...that's for sure.

Purdy has never lost as a starter and has 0 interceptions this year.

He is infinitely better than Dak.

Purdy is in an extremely well-coached situation where he knows he can rely on his o-line, has an amazing run game, can rely on good play-calling and he can rely on a great defense. It's much easier to look great in a situation like that. Purdy here doesn't look much better than Dak.

Dak looked way better his first year in when we had that amazing O-line and Zeke rushing for like 5 yards. We have a patchwork O-line that does decent in the pass game but is awful at run-blocking. The lack of running game but a play-calling style that is predicated on it means you have a predictable offense that is easy to shut down. The offense hasn't looked good all year but was just masked by the defense playing lights out against bad teams. If you're getting 1 yard per carry on your runs, you are putting the offense in predictable passing plays, making them easier to shut down. Then once this style of offense gets behind, it's known we have to start taking risks, and then the interceptions come.

Am I opposed to looking for a new QB? No. Do I think a new QB will fix our problems and lead us to a Superbowl? No.

The problem starts at the top. How many of the rookies had a single impactful play last night?

Purdy is an exception. The 49ers were lucky to find him in the 7th round.

But there was one play last night that exemplified Dak's biggest flaws. NBC showed the play from behind the QB so you got a good view of what Dak saw. Dak threw a short pass to Pollard over the middle. Pollard was tackled immediately for a short gain, but in the replay you could see Tolbert coming across the middle just before Pollard got to the spot where Dak threw him the ball. Tolbert was open crossing the field. Dak could have hit him on a quick throw and gained 9 or 10 yards. Dak never saw him. He was looking for Pollard all the way. Why would he look for a 3yard play over the middle with the 49ers LBs as good as they are I have no idea. But if he saw the field better and quicker he could have had a 10 yard play to Tolbert.

Which brings me to my second thought. Knowing the 49ers LBs are so good in the 3-6 yards range why keep throwing the ball into that zone? The Cowboys had no idea how to exploit the 49ers defense. The Rams score 23 points on the 49ers, and had 28 first downs. They threw for 305 yards on 55 pass attempts. They ran it only 22 times, and 4 of those were end arounds to WRs and TEs. I don't think the Rams have a better offense than Dallas.

Purdy is real good, but having the best rushing attack makes his life very easy along with elite weapons across the board in the passing game.
Take that defense away, and Purdy is a different quarterback.
