From the the bread basket of bunuellos, truth, justice and the Armenian Way of Life, Air Cowboys America, the 50,000 watt beacon of the Supreme Truth, in Farmers Branch, the predominantly proletariate partitioned premises of the pernichious and parsimonious.
Next up, Clint Bagley with I Hear America Singing, followed by Peg's O My Heart Nostalgia Hour.

Fellow fans, persons of interest and hangers-on:

I cannot recall when the Cowboys fandom has been this down on a coach.

It is understandable. But what is not understandable is Jerra's hard-headed stance giving Wade free reign this year.
Jerra must be the most kindhearted and patient person in the world.
Touching on this, here is what I think will happen at mdseason:
Ah kindly await yer responses, mens.

1. The WR approach will be settled. Witten and Austin. Thas right. Very little of Williams and Ogle.
2. Tashard will lead the rushing charge as brittle Felix breaks in. Barber will nurse injuries.
3. The fan backlash agin Wade will get so intense that Jerra will drop hints of impending change. But he'll make it clearer that it will come in January and no sooner. Still a step in the right direction.
4. We won't see much of Ogle as Garrett chooses to concentrate on the bread and butter of Witten/Austin and the running of Choice and maybe Felix coming out of the backfield when fully re-integrated.
5. The defense will continue to play tenative and will miss on some cylinders with a hobbled Ware but Spears surprisingly begins his breakthrough season.

My head hurts when I make observations and forecasts this good.

Another turning point;
a fork stuck in the road.

Time grabs you by the wrist;
directs you where to go.

So make the best of this test
and don't ask why.

It's not a question
but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs
and still frames in your mind.

Hang it on a shelf
In good health and good time.

Tattoos of memories
and dead skin on trial.

For what it's worth,
it was worth all the while.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

Safe to say... I believe we are at somewhat of a crossroads. There will probably be more than one this season.

We may turn the corner. I have been waiting. Every time I think we are going to make that left turn around the corner... we run right into oncoming traffic and get blasted.

Here for hoping for change!

Ugh, Green Day lyrics.

Anyways, my forecast for the beginning of the season looks pretty much dead-on. 7-9 or 8-8. Inconsistent play, too many mistakes. The only thing I didn't expect was Romo struggling so early in the season. I figured he'd wait till after Thanksgiving to go into a shell, like he always does.

Mine does too but be careful how you say that. Some here that love to defend every little corner will consider that to be an "i told ya so" stance...

You an I both know it's just looking at what we have with a realistic point of view.

The team can stay above average until about mid-season, but then they need to start pulling away. By the end (December) they need to make their first-place run to the finish line. So far, they're keeping it close to the top-half of the midle of the pack; and that's fine for now, as long as they inch closer-up to a first-place finish as the season comes to a close. What they absolutely need along the whole way though, especially as they make their move forward and in the end, is to stay at top-health because they have zero-depth all around. But their starters can play with anybody. The players are capable ot do their part; if the coaches also follow suit and do theitrs then this can shape up to become a suprising winning season, and perhaps postseason.

I wish could argue any of these points but I cant. You forgot that Barbie being on the field and either whiffing on a tackle or bad coverage will cost a game somewhere and the secondary and their soft coverage will continue to be a major downfall. Oh and the LT will continue to average a minimum of one penalty a game.

My views are less mental mistakes and we will be one of the toughest teams to beat.

If it stays the same than Wade loses his job and we will go 8-8 and miss the playoffs.

Its all about eliminating stupid penalties and air head turnovers.

I said 10-6 and if we win Sunday we'll have a dang good shot at 10-6. Still way too many mistakes and we still have Wade so my confidence in this whole franchise is shaky but i'm a Cowboys fan, what choice do i have? I will support them win or lose.

Our offense will be fine, even with lagging injuries. It's the defense that concerns me. Teams seem to pass at will on us. I love our special teams. Looking forward to seeing what Rossum can do for us in the return game. The O-Line needs to get their act together and stop making so many stupid penalties. And Garrett needs to run the ball more in goaline situations.

To show you how much parity in the league is present, consider this:

If the Giants miss a last second FG and Romo converts 4th down in Denver, we could be 5-0.

We could also as easily have a losing record if not for Austin's play against KC and not managed to squeak past two cellar-dwellers in CAR/TB.

We just need to play a complete game on both sides of the ball; we have not managed to do that this year.

Yes, the team's current winning record means we're pretty much dead-on with your losing record prediction. You really nailed it. We're all very impressed. By 'all,' of course, I mean 'Bleu Star.' Thanks for keeping it real!

This team will make the playoffs IMO.

After that, it's all about how bad do you want it.

It's a long season where many scenarios will try to play out.

In the big picture injuries always play a major factor in the League.

Trying to give it a shot in the dark.....1) Special Teams have been much improved and that trend should continue, 2) Hoping that Martellus Bennett gets it together in the passing game, that would be huge for the versatility of the Offense, 3) If Felix can stay healthy, which most think is a long shot.... 4) Kevin Ogletree takes over the #1 WR position 5) J. Williams and V. Butler emerge as starters 6) WR Manuel Johnson steps up from the practice squad to contribute

you could always join "the realist" up there , that way every season that doesnt end in a SB win you can puff your chest out and say "I told u so" heck you dont even have to wait till season is half over .....5 games in and you can start boasting

You want an UDFA rookie to take over the #1 WR position?

Good luck!

I'm still optimistic that the Cowboys will have a good season. I think they've proven that they are good enough to play with any team out there if they only control their boneheaded penalties and mistakes in execution.

IF they do that I still think 10 or 11 wins (or more) is in the bag, assuming the lucky breaks and bad calls even out. If they don't correct the mistakes, then we will continue to be around the .500 mark.

The thing that really worries me is the end-of-game defensive strategy. From Wade's comments he seems to think the strategy is good, but the players aren't doing the job. It's sort of a "The beatings will continue until morale improves" approach.

I think the strategy has to change. Playing the same nickle defense on every play is not going to do the job if the other team doesn't make a mistake. I don't like waiting for the other team to make a mistake. We have to force them to make mistakes. Bring the heat!!!

Hopefully we will be up by more than a single score late in the game, in which case, Wade's strategy makes a lot more sense.
