One third into the season; what are yer views?

Right on cue. :laugh2: Reality hurts when it hits you squarely in those rose colored focals.

What's crazy is I didn't realize that I'd been hit. Who hit me, and with what?

I'm cheering for a talented team that wins more than it loses and has 11 games left to put together a playoff run.

No idea why you guys race each other to cash it in just because your team's not playing playoff football in October, but knock yourselves out competing for the Biggest Realist trophy. Put a screenshot of whatever it is you win in your sig so the rest of us can admire it after the season's actually over.

Welcome back, dude. How was the coma?

Sadly, you just don't understand... A realist has already prepared for the inevitable. Therefore, the realist won't be surprised by it. The homer isn't prepared and will crash & burn harder than the Hindenburg. I have no doubt that both contingents want to see success. It's all about preparation for the inevitable. 13 years and running...

I guess we disagree on what's inevitable. I expect the best and prepare for the worst. I have no worries about how I'll adjust if the team spits the bit again this season. I can take it.

The team's in position to make a run, and that's all I care about. I'm on record saying we can't do that if we don't improve the turnover ratio, but then that's been exactly my point since the end of the season last year. If they fail to do it, we won't go anywhere and all the moaning will have been justified. If they do it, there'll be lots of 'my bads' and general backtracking while the 'realists' jockey to see who can be the biggest hypocritical frontrunner. And absolutely nobody is going to be surprised.

I was just trying to explain the differences between the two. They just see things a bit differently. Beyond that, feel free to continue drawing your own conclusions. ;)

The team is garbage we need to rebuild remove staff cut half the roster and start from scratch witha bunch of rookies and young veterans.

Bleu, there's a huge difference between having a negative take on the team because of the way we've lost the two games this season and a poisonous take like this one:

One is rational if not optimistic--and perfectly legitimate. The other is symptomatic of a much bigger problem with the organization and something that's going to get me up in arms every time. Because your takes aren't always positive, you're going to get lumped in with the second category from time to time, and not always fairly.

Few seem to realize that the NFL has never been more mediocre. Its a league where the difference between undefeated and winless is one or 2 plays any given week, and in between are about 25 6-10 to 10-6 teams.

Its a HUGE IF, but just ONE if, but if the Cowboys discover or buy into discipline, they could really and truly be as good an any "elite" team in this league today.

I hear ya. Just as long as you understand there's a difference... DaBoys4Life is on some other ****. ;)

I think we could have done without the lyrics.

Just sayin'.

Its all the same, only the names will change
Everyday it seems were wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
Id drive all night just to get back home

Chorus:
'Cause Im a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
Im wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes its not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when youre all alone all you do is think

Chorus

I walk these streets, a loaded six string on my back
I play for keeps, cause I might not make it back
I been everywhere, still Im standing tall
Ive seen a million faces an Ive rocked them all

Im a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
Im wanted dead or alive
Im a cowboy, I got the night on my side
Im wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Atlanta beats the Cowboys, make it to the Super Bowl and snag their first Lombardi.

No. Even your avatar's eyes can't will that into happening.

1. Team beats itself.

2. They have trouble focusing leading to undisciplined plays.

3. Much of these problems are not being addressed adequately by the coach and GM because the team mirrors the personal culture of the two individuals.

4. They are a much better team than Wade and Jerry allows them to be.

5. Because of the past two seasons and the start of this season fans don't know what to expect of this team. They don't trust the mental abilities of the players although many believe this to be a physically talented team. That's why fans hold back and are leaning towards being critical instead of apologetic.

...and on that farm he had a Wade,
and a clunker game here and a clunker game there.
Ole McJerry had a farm

I think we've shot ourselves in the foot a few times and don't expect it to continue all season. I also think the defense has had to adjust to a few new parts but are showing improvement from game to game. We've also got a bonified pr/kr on deck for the first time. It's going to come together soon.

If my thinking is right we'll beat the hell out of the falcons and go on a nice little win streak. We'll see.

Why, were you in a coma the last decade?

1. Looks like pretty much the same team as last year. A team that's full of talent, but has no coaching from the sidelines.

2. Romo misses TO a lot, and looks like a robot not trying to turn the ball over out there. Romo needs to live with that he's going to make mistakes in games, and get his confidence back.

3. Been fairly disappointed with Ware and the defense. They clearly miss Canty/Ellis whether people want to admit it or not.

Another turning point;
a fork stuck in the road.

Time grabs you by the wrist;
directs you where to go.

So make the best of this test
and don't ask why.

It's not a question
but a lesson learned in time.

I really hate it when you start singing Air Supply schutff.
