I don’t think we are using him correctly. I think his best skill is playing in space. Yes he can rush the passer but in the current scheme it is awfully easy to neutralize him. Put him back at LB and line him up to rush the passer in unique situations. Let him rome and tackle the Allen’s, Hurts’, Mcaffrey’s, and Deebo’s earlier than we can otherwise... Plus it will probably extend his career by 5 years.
Kind of like where your head’s at on this. Micah’s such a versatile player I think you'd have more looks with him moving him off the line of scrimmage - at least occasionally.

I for one am not surprised what happened on defense last night. It was the same thing that happened last year when Hankins went down. So sick of hearing about how great Will McClay is at drafting. He's had two huge misses on defense in the first round. Don't get me started on Jerry the hapless GM. This guy couldn't build a sandwich as a NFL GM. We all know the guy who built those great 90 teams will go into the Ring of Honor in a few weeks. 28 years and counting for Jerry to even try to sniff out that success has ended in failure. OK.. Defense. I'm starting with the most overrated defensive player in football. Micah Parsons. One trick pony. Occasionally he can rush the quarterback good-mainly at JerryWorld. His run defense awful. How can you be a so called top defensive star with one tackle??? I for one if GM of Dallas paying this guy as a top defensive player is laughable. He's not. Now if dummy Jerry wants to pull up the money train to his wallet-go straight ahead. I'd trade him first. He useless in the run defense as a linebacker. He might as well be moved to defensive end but even then he wouldn't hold the edge in the run game. Big mouth Tank running his mouth all last week. Got the samething done to him. "Hit them in the mouth then hit them again-then again:facepalm:

Our worthless GM...I'm sitting on the couch and saying all season. If Hank goes down we are so screwed. How can I see it and the GMless doesn't? Jerry had all season to address this issue- yet he stayed pat and once again we will suffer for his ineptitude. Back in Summer camp-it was easy to see that we were lacking at true MLB also. Our good defensive teams always had great MLB. Quinn wants to get cute and try using safeties. The game has passed Dan Quinn by. He rarely makes in game adjustments especially on the road. So what to do-you may ask???? Rob somebodies practice squad is the only thing left. I know it's late in the season to bring somebody in. But what other option do we have at this point? And next season overrated McClay. Draft anywhere but Michigan. Take physical players from schools like Georgia-Florida-Alambama. Quit drafting these cupcakes-from cupcakes soft college teams. Start with a DT. then go MLB. Then a hardnosed safety. That would be a great start-if you get the right ones. But all in all I had Dallas at 12-5 at the start of September. And I said the defense is our biggest problem. A problem the GMLess didn't address especially after the injuries. Sad that we lose one guy and your run defense goes to hell. But that's were we are at. So stupid that Quinn didn't start run blitzing or put safeties in the box. Quinn has been a disappointment as have all the coaches been a huge disappointment outside of JerryWorld making in game adjustments IMHO. So, I have them losing at Miami. Winning the next 2 games there after.Butnhopefully the trend of not losing back to back continue and we beat Miami.
Strong post. I don't agree with all of it but some of it

The Defense has been a huge disappointment. Yes, I know we were top of all those metrics, but it was only a matter of time before we were badly exposed.
Parsons is not to blame, he has been let down by the scheme which is not right to get the best out of him. It's criminal.

Parsons is a disruptive, game changing player. An elite pass rusher.

Parsons is also undersized for a DL, and constantly matching him up against OL that have 75 lb. on him will take its toll on his health. Once he loses half a step, is value to the team plummets, unlike a power player.

The cost of keeping Parsons on the roster is measured not just in salary cap dollars, but also in the draft picks he would fetch in a trade.

All-SEC Damone Clark was terrible last night. Bad angles, slow reaction, and bad tackling, he sucks.

We needed a NT, we took the best one available. We need to hit FA for this position and MLB, IMO
Yup we definitely need a 2nd NT.......does Vince wilfork have a son we can go and recruit?

You seem angry. Me too. It’s been this way since the playoff game against rams when they ran for over 200 yards using a rb they got from off his couch. After the first quarter yesterday I got that same feeling. The players needed to keep there lanes. Cover B gap. They ran the same play all day. We kept getting penalties. The refs get blind against us. Once again several holding calls missed. After they tried to take Daks head off he didn’t want to run with it. And took sacks. Some said bills played aggressive and smash mouth. I saw some dirty pool.
They were playing like thugs. We were playing like choirboys. Guess who wins???

Great post. Micah is too much of a specialist to be paid $25-30 million per. Its a very unpopular opinion but, I'd trade him for a Herschel Walker haul. If Dallas is content being "good" then keep Quinn. But if we are going to win a SB we have to be honest that Quinn's scheme is vulnerable to running games. Its why we been losing in the same playoff game/round for years.
Great post. Somebody else in here been paying attention. I'd trade Micha in a sec for a great DT and linebacker plus hopefully a pick or 2. You can find decent enough pass rushers to make up that difference. But everything after that would be an upgrade.

Well, aggressive , smash mouth is how it’s done in the playoffs. If we can’t match the intensity , then we have no chance.

The Ram game was a special case. I forget his name but one of our DL was tipping the stunts and making it very easy for them to change the call at the line and take advantage.
different sport but same message in hockey. Panthers beat the piss out of the Leafs that way, only mention it cause the Leafs are basically hockeys version of the cowboys, flash in the reg season then get beat up and underperform in the playoffs cause they are soft.

I thought rams game they were reading LVEs movements but my memory is foggy and i deleted most of that embarrassment from my head

Great post. Dallas is always going out getting these "maybe" type players trying to prove they are the smartest persons in football  They never just draft to draft a dominate type p[layer. It's mostly this guy has potential. Screw that!! Star drafting guys who are terror on the field not guys who maybe.

You have to be really dumb to think Micah is part of the problem.

Teams either scheme away from him or double him every single play. He is a singular talent in the NFL, you just don't know what you're watching.

Cool this is a really good way to make your team worse.

One bad game against the run and this board poops its pants and wants to get rid of its best player. Unreal lmao

Part of the problem. We needed an NT that can play NOW, not one who might be good in 2-3 years.

This is where not using FA kills us.

All the other top teams do, while these two think they can get away with not….and that’s a big part of why we always fall short.
Our idiot org is always in the win later moment and that moment never arrives. Jerry Jones is the problem along with his idiot son. We are so screwed as Dallas fans.....

Hard to envision Mazi being good…ever…esp after seeing his college tape and what’s he’s done thus far

They expected Parsons to be on allen all game. Was a good plan if it works. He is a game changer and allen would have throw 3 picks. But you cant sack a qb that don’t have the ball, we left B gap open all day. Bring a freaking safety down and fill the gap. Use a run blitz and take a chance to stop the run. Then let Parsons do his thing. Now wait till the playoffs. What ever team we play they will run the ball all game..

Yes we needed a nose tackle. But if theres not one worthy of that pick then you pick a different position.

I had never heard of mazi prior to him getting drafted. And after watching highlights, I didn't think he looked like anything special. He even looked like a jag in the highlights.

The bottom line is this defense can't play in a tough, physical football game when the offense doesn't get out to a lead. And that is not going to change this year. Theres nobody on the roster that can help them out with the run defense that isn't already playing.

It's not one bad game!! We can not compete with top physicals teams. And it's no EXCUSE to play this bad on the road. That's on McCarthy. IMHO. Your GM threw this season away when he didn't get active per as usual.

It's not physical, it is misdirection and numbers advantages. You guys live in 1985.

Get active with what? Name the players he should have acquired lmao.

You people are delusional about the reality of the NFL.
