This thread again? Ugh.. Just drop it already.

Yet again, it just shows how truly idiotic it was to have rushed Romo back.

A fan asked if Romo would be ready for Week 17.

Just saying...

I don't think he would have re-injured it if it wasn't for that spin move putting him in a direct hit on the shoulder. Wasn't even a jarring hit just the right angle.

I'm sorry to say, but at this point I don't even care.

I know y'all put me in the negative corner, but there's one thing you'll never be able to accuse me of. I WILL NEVER wish the Cowboys a loss, especially against the Freeking Dead Skins. That's horse crap fandom. As bad as this organization has been for the past 20 years, the difference between a few draft picks, especially when the draft is this weak, is not going to make a difference. However, killing the hope and overall mood of Skin fans is way more fun!

So let me get this straight: you're more concerned about the emotional state and enjoyment of Skins fans than improving our team with the best talent possible?

This team isn't going to run the table, even with Romo it wasn't going to.

That said, I'd like to see them win vs the vial Commanders, a sweep of their season is always special.

The draft pick isn't going to matter whether it's 3 or 8, you still have Jerry picking.

Like I said play Romo against Miami then sit him until the Commanders game Monday. With a short week against the number 1 team was stupid. Should have let Cassel play the carolina game

Deep down many people on here do not want to win the division without Romo

It's not that we don't want to win the division without Romo, it's that the evidence shows we CAN'T win the division without Romo. Let's say that we do, we're dead in the playoffs.

This team had an opportunity to win games without Romo but couldn't muster ONE win.

So forgive us for being jaded, but we've seen the evidence, and it doesn't favor a Romo-less Cowboys team.

You know no team would do that. That's an unrealistic expectation.

Honestly whichever team wins the NFCE the division will be in a worst position next year, will have a harder schedule and worst draft pick, all these 4 teams are in need of talent.

Yes I wanted a Giants win and us to lose. We have a ton more issues than just Romo being out. I learned a long time ago that winning just to be subpar only equals months of "they never give up" and Jerry having false confidence which then leads to more .500 or below years.

Possibly ready for the WC round, but not likely. Probably a go for the Division Rd. Should be a go by the NFC championship at the latest. Not only would we need Cassel to go undefeated the rest of the season, but then win at least one, maybe 2 playoff games. Season is done and people are clinging for some unexplained reason.

Assuming the Cowboys win 7 straight games with Cassel... why would we even think about bringing back Romo in that situation?

Well, I know I'm in the minority, but I want the team to win. It'd be nice to have a top five pick, but there's talent in all seven rounds, you just have to hit on them. We drafted Claiborne with the sixth pick and look how that turned out. Not saying that would happen again, but just pointing out that having a top five pick doesn't guarantee a future star player. The Patriots have always picked in the bottom half of the drafts, yet they seem to always find talent. I understand the mindset of the tank crowd, but I like to see wins. If that makes me a homer or delusional, then whatever.

I sometimes can't get over how quickly everyone is to pile on to the team because of the problems we've had this year. Most of the critics have a tendency to focus solely on Romo's absence. But, don't forget Bryant (whose being a "rhythm player" probably means his injury led to performance problems even after his return). Don't forget about Hardy and McClain (Rolando) being suspended...and Rolando not being completely ready for action after his return, possibly due to the suspension. The hotshot new pass rushing rookie (Gregory) was out and is clearly just starting to return to form even after getting back into games. Scandrick and McClain (Terrell) both lost for the year. One of your best linebackers (maybe THE best, but you have another contender for that title who, of course and as mentioned, missed time) has had concussion issues and had to sit out some games. Witten was banged up (even more than normal) with both ankles and a knee banged up for a couple of games. The list goes on...

The injuries were real and probably couldn't have hit a worse combination of people. The suspensions didn't help. Add in the calculated risk of letting Murray walk (compounded by Dunbar's injury) and you've got a recipe for a disaster of a season. Sure, we should have had a better option at backup QB. Maybe we can ask why we rely on Lee despite his injury history. Why do we rely on suspended players as part of our equation. But, acting as if this dumpster fire of a season means we are a dumpster fire of team isn't justified. They aren't the same thing.

There isn't a team in the East that isn't dead in the playoffs. Might as well have some fun while the Giants die.

We've played this if game all year long and have been disappointed every single time. I don't care what the rest of the division does because I'd be shocked if the Cowboys get to 5 wins on the season.
