OL and offensive scheme and play calling on running plays has a lot to do with that. Pollard gets his yards to the outside, where Moore rarely calls plays for Zeke. Yes he lost a step, but he shown he can still hit the edge if given the blocking and opportunity.

Dak needs the Berlin Wall type OL to be effective.
Just to be specific...the Berlin Wall prior to Regan having it torn down.........

I think the offense needs more speed. Speed at running back and receiver is where I would focus.

I wouldn't franchise Pollard. He had an injury so would take a 1 year deal and draft a guy to pair with him and Davis.

I would bring in 2 receivers with elite speed. Lamb and Gallup aren't going anywhere. Maybe keep Hilton another year, Fehoko and Tolbert still here and Turpin with a full off-season

Dak is not going anywhere in 2023.

It is highly unlikely that Moore is replaced as OC.
- There aren't any Kyle Shanahan types available as OC...

That leaves upgrading the offensive talent.

An elite veteran WR would be the safe option.
- They need Moore experience with regards to route running.
- How much to trade for DeAndre Hopkins?
- Is OBJ a good option?

Cut Zeke.
Draft a RB.
Franchise Pollard.

Move on from Schultz.
- Ferguson likely just as good.
- If an elite TE is BPA, then draft that player.
Why should guys like Hurts, Purdy, Burrows have great players around them? Is there some rule that Dak has to win it all with less?

I think Jaylin Wyatt is the perfect #2 compliment WR we need. Dude appears to have legit 4.3 burner speed and can take the top off the defense. Scorched Alabama.

I’m seeing him mocked in the 2nd but I’m not sure he’ll last til our 1st pick. Teams are valuing WR more and more and guys that can fly go off the board quick.

I agree we need to upgrade the offensive talent and I'm not as worried with the salary cap as the so called experts because they only look at next year and see we are close to the ceiling. In 2024 we have over $95 million.

My GM Plan for Offensive Weapons
WR - Trade for Brandin Cooks and have Houston pick up some of the Salary
WR - Resign Noah Brown to vet minimum and have him as a primary special teams player/blocker
WR - Get Gallup make to preACL Gallup
WR - Draft a Speedster and have him compete with Tolbert for the 4th WR spot

TE - Don't resign Schultz - the only thing he does above average is find the weak spot in zones but in my opinion effort is lacking in multiple ways. With time with Dak - Ferguson can be better - definitely more explosive!
TE - Draft - 2023 is loaded with TE prospects

RB - Cut Zek - Save the $4+ million - unfortunately Zek is washed up
RB - Don't Franchise Pollard $10+ is way to much for a player coming off a broken leg - would like to sign but have to see about the money.
RB - Love the idea of drafted Robinson out of Texas in the 1st if available - just don’t give a 2nd contract

Looks like a good plan to me. I’m not a fan of drafting RBs in the 1st, but if it means we’re using that money saved from Zeke / TP to get a proven vet NFL WR I’m in.

Disagree about Zeke and Pollard. Do Not tag Pollard. Need to see his recovery from broken leg.
Zeke takes pay cut, and draft a RB.

Invest the $$$ from tagging Pollard in the OL. Offer Pollard a 1 year incentive laden contract. Or 2 year reasonable paid contract with incentives.
I agree with most of your points, I think I would be more inclined to let Zeke walk if he didn't agree with a significant cut though. IMO I think the trenches on both sides need to be fortified, after all we did have the highest scoring offense with what some refer to as scrubs for weapons. If the lines are built up and they decide to move on from Dak in the next year his replacement will hopefully have a well seasoned OL to protect his replacement already in place.

But you still have Dak and his inaccuracy. Dak is the constant. We would lose with DHop if Dak can hit the side of a barn. None of these ideas will work with Dak at QB. He has shown us his limitations. We gotta accept them.

1. Solidify OL.
2. Draft RBs
3. Cut Zeke
4. Give Pollard a team friendly offer to be “the man”
5. Force Dak to run the ball

If you sign A.J. Brown, Megatron in his prime, Jerry Rice, and prime Randy Moss, Dak is still going to throw behind them, in the dirt and to the defenders.

Maybe we should sign corners to play receiver so they can break up all these interceptions.

It’s slightly sarcastic. But it’s not that far off the mark.

I posted this already. WWJD (What Would Jimmy Do?)

“His No. 1 strength is he is a great leader for that football team,” Johnson said this week on Fox Sports’ The Herd. “He can win you a championship if you got really good players around him. They’ve had some injuries with the running game. They’re not running the football as well they did before Dak got injured. When they’re running the football, those play-action passes, Dak is really good. … But when he’s got to drop back and start reading the whole field and make decisions about where he’s throwing the football, and the defense isn’t slowing down for the run … he’s not near as good. He can win you a championship, but you better get the running game back.”

Why get these players and he didn't get it to the guys we already have

The answer isn't more weapons. The answer is catering the offense to what dak is good at and leaning on the run game.

He showed he was fully capable a year ago with actual skill players, this year he had a bottom 5 unit.

Fully capable of what?

We had the number 1 offense last year, he's good it enough to throw the ball in a passing league, just not when his receivers out side or Lamb shouldn't be on the field. The line against SF last year didn't really give him a shot, this year he was awful vs them.

No, Dak needs route running technicians at WR and TE.
