A rebuttal? Of an open letter that Jones will never read? Are you seeking to disprove the effectiveness of a message the OP knew was dead on arrival before even typing it?
That's right because he took the time to write that ridiculously long editorial for Jerry Jones and so I took an extra long time to counter his editorial with a challenge that if there's a lot of people in here that feel that way then put your money where your mouth is take the time to do some real protesting don't just come here and complain on a daily basis we watch football we debate football but you're trying to make the owner step down as GM and you want big changes and you think that protesting and complaining online is gonna help no go take it to the next level..,.

I truly meant what I said if you really wanna do this you wanna embarrass Jerry then you need to get money together and buy advertising inside the stadium on the big screens outside the stadium and at the start and anywhere you think Jerry can be phased and you see if you can get fans to truly protest that means buying tickets buying advertising do it do it already bring the torches and pick forks out or just shut up~!!!!! You have a choice of what team you pull for this is a Jerry Jones own Cowboys it has been since 1989 you have to take the good with the bad if not don't expect things to change because Steven Jones might be the next guy in line if Jerry steps down and you have other Jones families here this may be another 28 years so why keep acting like you wanna protest do it already or shut up..

Your rebuttal for him took an extra long time? Your rebuttal for me was almost three times as long. Guess it took an extra, extra, extra, long time to counter.

I use talk to text I don't proofread I don't correct mistakes so no it doesn't take long at all actually way faster than you're thinking I put no thought into it and I have a conversation with my PC like I'm sitting next to a guy at a sports bar having the same type of conversation.. thank god it's not twitter i don't have to fix anything or limit anything...

So yes this is like any other debate you have somebody that has an opinion and then you have somebody who counters that with a counterpoint so sometimes maybe my ridiculous rambling on post will make them realize that their post was ridiculously unnecessary as well...lol why why are you locked onto having this debate with me I mean it seems like a big waste of time doesn't it I like the counter.... I'd like to have a sports show called

point/ counterpoint. And the first person I would invite is Stephen A Smith and there will be no scripting me and him can have a talk lol

Dear Mr. Jones,

I write to you on behalf of a growing number of Dallas Cowboys fans, particularly members of the Cowboys Zone community, who feel it is time to address a hard truth: your era as owner and General Manager of this storied franchise needs to come to an end.

For nearly 30 years, our team has been mired in mediocrity, failing to reach even an NFC Championship game since 1995. This long drought of success has left fans frustrated and disillusioned. While the Dallas Cowboys remain one of the most valuable and recognizable brands in sports, the on-field product continues to fall short of expectations.

The roster is consistently constructed with glaring weaknesses. Whether it's a lack of depth at critical positions or a single, fatal flaw that every team seems to exploit, the Cowboys have struggled to field a complete and balanced team. Each season feels like a tale of missed opportunities, where one obvious deficiency undoes all potential progress. These shortcomings point to a broader issue: the constant mismanagement of the salary cap.

Despite having some of the league’s brightest talents, the financial strategy behind the team has been erratic. Large contracts are handed out without clear foresight, and the cap is often leveraged in ways that handicap the team’s flexibility. As a result, year after year, we see the Cowboys fall short, often undone by poor decisions at the top.

The role of owner and General Manager in today’s NFL is a demanding one, and the dual responsibilities are simply too much for one person to handle. Your contributions to the team in the early years, including the Super Bowl victories, are deeply appreciated and forever etched in history. However, in the modern era, your involvement in the day-to-day football operations has consistently failed to deliver results.

Cowboys Zone members, and many other fans, believe it’s time for a new direction. The passion of Cowboys fans is unmatched, but with each passing year, that passion is met with frustration and disappointment. The era of “almost” is not what this franchise deserves, and after nearly three decades, it’s clear that a change at the very top is necessary.

Mr. Jones, we are calling on you to sell the team and relinquish control over football operations. We are asking for a fresh start with leadership that prioritizes on-field success and brings in football minds dedicated solely to returning the Dallas Cowboys to their rightful place among the NFL elite.

The time has come for you to step back and allow the Cowboys to thrive again. This decision would honor your legacy while giving the next generation of Cowboys fans the hope and success that has eluded us for so long.

Sincerely,
J12B, Cowboys Zone Members and Loyal Cowboys Fans
After the debacle that was the Packers loss earlier this year, Jerry proclaimed that he was " ALL IN ".
He then proceeded to do mostly nothing in free agency, while we had a ton of free agents leave.
He then drug his feet most of the off season before signing CD to a fair market value contract.

The cherry on top of this crapfest of an off season was to give a good regular season QB the largest average salary contract in NFL history.

I have said this until I am blue in the face, this team is never having meaningful success until Jerry and and son are no longer in their current front office positions.

The NFL is a very competitive league. We are at a severe competitive disadvantage having two amateurs at the two most important front office positions.

No other NFL team has the lack of accountability in the front office that the Cowboys have.
This dysfunctional set up filters down to the coaches and players.
This is why the team has no heart and folds like a cheap suit the moment they get punched in the mouth.

I am at my limit after 49 years of giving this team my undying loyalty.

So I am stepping back and limiting my involvement with this team.

I am no longer having my Sundays revolve around this teams schedule.

If they are on local TV fine, I will watch. No more trips to the sports bars.

No more rearranging my families plans to accommodate watching games.

Until Jerry gets serious enough about winning to make meaningful changes thats gonna be my strategy.

I am beyond fed up with this poorly run excuse of a football team where the mantra seems to be just staying relevant.

As a side note, I really appreciate the Cowboys Zone. The banter and gameday game threads has kept me more involved with the team
that I otherwise would be.

This isn't a two year talk it up affair.

I wish Jerry cared about winning on the field but he doesn’t. You make great points but they will fall on deaf ears. We will never reach the nfc championship game again as long as Jerry or any of his offspring own the team.

The Jones way is to believe that their billions quality them to be an nfl GM and in Jerry’s case, also an nfl head coach. A nepotism rule will fix a lot of this but the nfl will never approve that.

I still can’t believe someone hasn’t bought an ad for a billboard close to the stadium that exposes Jerry for what he is: a guy who has spent his entire nfl ownership trying to prove that he is a football guy. As the great Dale Hansen (former WFAA Ch 8 Dallas sports broadcaster) once said, “No nfl team would have Jerry as their GM unless he brought his checkbook with him.” And Jerry’s lack of post season success speaks for itself. Almost 30 years has passed and we win a wild card game every ten years …

Well, this is what typically happens to a Jerry-built team. It falls apart. He simply doesn't get it.

And now, w/ paying Dak and Ceedee, forget about the D improvement so badly needed.

Fixed. He's not selling the team. This is a generational source of income.
No, this is a Jones ego problem and always has been.

The Dak deal was probably done early on in the offseason. Jerry most likely held the announcement for as long as he did to keep the media attention high. He's the biggest narcissistic POS I have ever seen.
