Sadly, I can't see Henderson erasing the suspension. The NFL could have said the sky is green and the furthest Henderson will go in contradiction is to say the sky might have a teal tint to it.

I'm betting on a 4 game suspension, a lot of backlash and nothing will change.
In my best Kermit the frog voice...." It ain't easy being green....". ;)

But wait where is diehardblues and others who were so hard pressed to believe the NFL?

Aria, do you finally believe what most of us have been trying to explain with the Mara/Giants/Freil connection? Come on man this is so blatant it's not even funny.

Dez caught it!

WOW!!!!!!
So the ESPN article says the ONLY person who interviewed Tiffany Thompson was the person they barred from the meeting and didn't consider her opinion......
YET...they took the word of the "victim" over Zeke's when the only person who interviewed her said her word isn't worth a crap and he shouldn't be suspended....

WOW....
The NBC version says it's simply a matter of the NFL choosing to believe the accuser more than Elliot.

Just when you think the NFL couldn't screw up more. They will be the ones receiving the abuse if this ever gets to federal court.

Either way the NFL dug themself in... If the decision is upheld it looks like it will lead to a nasty court battle, if they lift the suspension they will look stupid. The only path here is a significant reduction and hope Elliott just takes it.

Sounds like Lisa Friel purposely barred her from the meeting. It was a lynching folks. This should be over-turned by Henderson if he has any integrity at all. Something Goddell, Friel, and their lynch mob obviously do not.

And Friel should never be allowed to be involved in a domestic violence case again.

That is stunning.

Friel, that witch Giants fan, should not only be fired, but disbarred. Assuming this article is true

Jerry should be demanding Friels head on a spike.

Clarence Hill is a real journalist. He likely trilple checked his facts with multiple sources. It's true.

If for no other reason, you need to part ways with the idiot as a show of good faith with the Players Union. At some point the NFL is going to have to go back to the negotiating table with them, and if Roger is still the head honcho, the union is going to play hardball at a level unprecedented in sport's history.

Yup, and look what he's done to the opening of the season. The NFL will open 2017 embroiled in controversy and reeking of corruption with commentators additionally discussing head injuries, patriotism and sideline racial protests. ugh. The owners and television execs ain't gonna like that.

:hammer:

I think they'll demand an independent group for discipline issues, but probably not until new CBA.
The way the league office did the dirty here they may demand it now. Citing that they feel no players is actually getting a fair shot. Think about it, after Ray Rice and Peterson imagine if they went back and asked for all the documents on those cases, maybe even Hardy's. If the NFLPA has any senior senators that are friendly on speed dial this could get very ugly quickly.

im just floored.
Goodell and Friel didn't interview her...they decided to ignore the only league employee who did interview her and somehow believe her over him...in spite of the police and your own employee agreeing that she is not believable...forget about the extortion and street fight, racist comments, and threats to ruin his career....

I'm disgusted.

Incredible.

Still think there is no conspiracy against the Dallas Cowboys, their players, and fan base?

This is a blatantly steered attempt at keeping a Top 5 NFL player off the field to the benefit of their most direct competition.

This is "Dez Caught It" and the Blandino reversal only with a man's reputation ruined instead of an outcome.

I don't think it's a conspiracy against Dallas per se. It's a high-profile player that they wanted to make an example of to show their tough on domestic violence. They wanted to use Elliott as a scapegoat to cover for their past failures. The league should have made sure it actually picked someone it could prove committed DV first.

I'm not a lawyer but I talked with a buddy last night who is. Even before this latest info, his comment to me was that there are certain rights you cannot sign away, no matter what the cba says or what a release form you sign says.

The burden of proof may be more difficult, but given the wording the suspension he felt some of the rights Zeke was denied are definitely cause for a winnable lawsuit. And winnable may not even affect the suspension, but could result in damages. He spouted a bunch of other stuff I can't remember which sounded bad for the NFL.

Any lawyers have comments?
So Mike Fisher constantly bleating "Article 46!" wasn't 100 percent correct?

Shocking. (Not)
