This looks really bad for the NFL the one that actually interviews the accuser recommended no suspension people that didn't speak to TT gives him 6 games

A lead investigator in the NFL’s domestic-violence probe of Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliottproduced an internal memo in which she laid out inconsistent statements and credibility concerns regarding Elliott’s accuser Tiffany Thompson, a league source told Yahoo Sports.

That memo, produced by league director of investigations Kia Wright Roberts following her interviews with Thompson, became a significant battleground in Elliott’s appeal of a six-game suspension this week in New York. Testimony from Roberts and NFL senior vice president of investigations Lisa Friel produced key material that will ultimately be weighed by arbitrator Harold Henderson, the source said. Among that material, according to the league source:

• Roberts testified that she was the only NFL investigator to conduct a handful of interviews with Thompson and subsequently raised concerns about those interviews in a memo titled “Tiffany Thompson Inconsistency Transcripts”. Following the production of that internal memo, she recommended no suspension for Elliott.

corruption is crazy. it's very clear Goodell is abusing his power to really force the Players' Union hand. The Brady ruling gave him all the justification he needed to wield it like a slegde hammer until the next CBA in where the Union will negotiate to take away his power but give up a lot of stuff in return.

They were just talking about it on Mike and Mike. What a joke. I really didn't think Goodell could look any worse. It's sickening. I've said all along that Zeke needs to grow up a little but it is absolutely ridiculous to label a young 21 or 22 year old man a woman beater because of some atrocious woman looking for 15 minutes of fame through TMZ.

This. In my experience the female domestic prosecutors are man hating zealots who would believe anything that came from a "victim"

There were more men involved in the case than just Friel. Relax -- you'll get laid one day.

After more than 25 hours of discussion, including Ezekiel Elliott testifying in his own defense, the hearing to appeal a six-game suspension of the Dallas Cowboys star running back for violating the league’s personal conduct policy finally ended Thursday afternoon.

Now the wait begins for NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson to issue a decision on whether to uphold the suspension, reduce it or vacate it entirely.

Elliott’s hope of a significant reduction or success in federal count were improved during the proceedings that began on Tuesday, according to a source.

Well, this is a bit infuriating. The NFL was more concerned about looking tough on domestic violence by suspending one of its stars, than actual justice. Hopefully, justice will prevail.

I still can't believe Goodell is about to get a 5-year extension thru the 2024 season. He is being rewarded for falling tv ratings and incompetent handling of numerous player disciplinary issues. It's baffling.

His handling of Zeke's suspension has been abysmal.

Once you get a gig at C level it never ends no matter how incompetent you become.

One elephant in the room that isn't being discussed is the civil rights component. Friel is white. Roberts is black. White folks railroading a black player and not following advice of black lead investigator in doing so. This could get ugly.
Maybe this case will open some minds to the bigger picture issues.

Some people thought I was going overboard on suggesting the overdone reffing, even during preseason. Jerry Jones made someone higher up mad and the league has been hosing the cowboys with calls and now this Elliott thing

Over under on Cowboy penalties next weekend is 10.

Where are all the people that thought Zeke was guilty and there was no conspiracy? Very quiet in here lately. lol

First off, "Guilty" is only the determination in a court of law which is a much higher burden(beyond a reasonable doubt)........Zeke was found in violation of a policy by four members of an independent panel that looked at all the evidence( including the report by Roberts not recommending suspension) and still recommended a 6 game suspension....TWO MUCH DIFFERENT STANDARDS...And what is this so-called conspiracy alleged by the NFLPA, what exactly is the benefit to the league by conspiring to have one of their young star players not playing for 6 games.....I have no idea if Zeke violated the policy or not, but conflating two different standards of a criminal code with some business policy standard of a league is annoying to read constantly by those who apparently don't understand the difference.
