It isn't.
Would it be closer if Dak had started his career in Cincy and Dalton started his in Dallas?
Would Dak even still be in the league?
It isn't.
It isn't.
Garapolo's contract I believe was 10% of the teams cap.
He also plays on a team that is young and doesn't have many veterans taking a ton of space.
they're about to sign George kittle. kaching.Garapolo's contract I believe was 10% of the teams cap.

He means it is a team game. There is more than one aspect or faulting just one player. Not stating anything new here, just sayin.....yet you just placed blame on everyone else so how is that any better?

I think much of the percentage thing is just coincidental. winners of the big dance typically have great hc's, great qb's (though not always) and great defenses. So I ask again...……………..….you are suggesting the Chiefs let Mahomes walk in a year or two when he demands more than 13%?
Does anyone know when the last time the highest paid QB in the league won a SB? I actually laugh at the fact that there is a chance that something will come across the wire saying "Dak Prescott, the highest paid player ever" Ooof that's scary. Dude is a top 15 QB for god sake.
The defense gave up:
12 against NO and lost
13 against NE and lost
17 against Phi and lost
I would put all of those games on the offense.
I don't necessarily disagree with your assertion though. There were several games where the D simply didn't show up. Its just really easy to pick apart last season and find things to blame. You could make a case for coaching, bad defense, special teams, a few bad games from Dak, receivers dropping balls, fat Zeke, etc. and be right. Last season was weird. Just fixing one problem out of many could have turned it into a 10 or 11 win season.
He had a shot to win the job if Dak didn't show up.
This got me thinking about that actual scenario. And you have to applaud the FO for getting Dalton to sign by telling him that. Love the sell job. And great insurance job securing Dalton and leverage in the Dak negotiations.
Couple questions:
1. How many games do you think we could win if Dalton was our QB the entire year?
2. How much MORE is Dak better than Dalton, if at all, and how many more wins is Dak better than Dalton?
Wait...……..are you saying that coaching and the team around the QB matters?
Progress!!!!

Brady and the pats have really skewed the numbers, honestly. Matt Ryan would’ve been the guy had they not folded at a historic level, and I think our team is similarly built to theirs that year, but better.
“Dalton chose Dallas because he was told he had a shot to win the job if Dak didn’t show up.”
Do you have a link/source for this?

That has not been verified.
Dalton himself said that playing near home and the Covid lockout were the primary factors in signing with the Cowboys.
Most media expect him to get a starting job somewhere next season.
he has a home in highland park, as does jerry, Stephen, and myself. turtle creek. azaleas. Shumard oaks. go scots. That has not been verified.

I think we all know the answer to that.Would it be closer if Dak had started his career in Cincy and Dalton started his in Dallas?
Would Dak even still be in the league?
You mean a second string NFL quarterback is operating under the assumption that if the starter is unavailable for whatever reason, he might be asked to actually play football?
Where did you come across the revelation?
