If anything, McCarthy's presence here got rid of the Jerry Jones proteges, so just for that alone he's helped this organization.

Kellen Moore really should be somewhere learning under a coaching tree. How you go from player to OC like 2 years later is beyond me.
Anyone remember Nolan? 8/

You mean the first 3 rounds. Lol. I expect the same but I actually think Elliot will take the big pay cut and stay. We will have a 3 headed monster.
Cannot see him playing on a 3 million or less contract, but you never know. If somehow he returns, convert him to full back and draft another bell cow to split carries with Pollard.

Absolutely agree. I think JJ might pay him 7. He is due 15. But we need a good one in the draft and we had a good one last year that got hurt. He should be brought back also.

Think day 2 will have several quality options.

I think they just do this stuff for the fans so we have someone to blame. Doesn’t really matter what plays ya call just execute

Yeah i would hold out to 4th round. I want O-Line and DT and WR no particular order.
A high DT, probably not going to happen unless a prospect can rush the passer. I expect that to be more of a day 3 option again. Who knows might bring back Hankins and sign another, heard this week Brockers wants to play here. I want A’Shaun Robinson from the Rams to go with Hankins.

Nolan was awful, but Nolan wasn't here 10 years. We had him, briefly and moved on which is what should happen when coaching underperforms.

Unfortunately, Jerry proteges usually get to stick around for half a decade or more

Listening to SJ he mentioned MM brought up moving on from Moore. At least it sounded that way.

MM is a SB winning coach. He knows he dont have a rogers. I am seeing them going or attempting to go Cowboys 2016. Run first with a big O-Line and good RBs. That maybe different for MM but he brought in power running O-Line coach and again knows he don’t have rogers. Put more WR talent around Dak and go with the short high % passes and let them get YAC. He will have a good Defense maybe even great and a very good ST.

MM knows his job is on the line because Quinn will likely get his job unless he goes to SB. If I am MM and am saddled with Dak then this is what I do. Dak can do this but you can not ask him to throw tight window passes all day or throw 40 times a game to Noah Browns. Keep it simple and lean on a run game. They do have a Dak that’s improved from 2016. He can make the throws. Just dont abandon the run if you get down by 2 points.
A good coach plans around the strengths and weaknesses of his players.
Especially his qb.
Dak is not an elite passer.
Lean on the running game with some play action.

Play action is what kills teams we play. We establish a run in the second half we hit some play action for big plays. I think most passes other than playaction will be shorter quick hitters in space to our talent and get YAC..

That’s why i was upset about trying to slip Ridgeway on PS. He had some talent to explore. Bring back Haskins and get the best DT we can. 1st round talent falls to second round all the time. There will be an unexpected run on a position and teams panic their player won’t be there in the next round so they end up picking a player higher than what they would normally. Other quality players slip down to McClay.

I’m sure he influenced the decision
His philosophy of the game is different though his quote about running the ball don’t really match what he’s done when running his offensr

That and passing more on early downs is really the key. Play action works when you can run the ball. You can run the ball better if you force them to cover run and pass on every down

I can't wait for you guys to see Moore wasn't the problem.

That "told ya so" will be glorious.
I'm just glad you're finally admitting that you are only here for your Told Ya So moments and nothing else. Sorry about your Eagles loss in the SB BTW.

I would like a Benton in rd 3 if he lasts that long, but think resigning Hankins and another veteran would be the best way to attack it
