His future, if any, is likely as a solid backup QB. The problem for him is that we will likely draft a QB (or should) to replace Romo down the road and I don't think the team is keen on carrying 3 QB's next season. In fact, not many teams are keen on carrying 3 QB's on their roster anymore.

I was disappointed in his ability to look off and manipulate the safeties. I thought we would see, if anything, a guy that doesn't have the arm strength and athletic ability for the position. He doesn't have very good arm strength, but his pocket mobility wasn't bad.

I really root for him because not only is he a Cowboys, but he was one of my favorite college football players. I'm just skeptical of his chances in the league.

He did a great job scanning the field for the most part, he needs to acknowledge the limitations of his noodle arm and just not make some throws. That interception in the endzone was one of those throws. Weeden's cannon probably works there, but noodle arm doesn't have the velocity.

Mostly it was nice to see a quarterback look past his first read and not lock on. I am interested to see what he does with a full week of practice under his belt.

That second INT he was really bad, that is a rookie mistake and he ain't a rookie.

Ddue has been in the league for 4 years. He can't play at a level that should interest the Cowboys.

But he's getting a shot. GL to him.

Moore has a quick release, which helps make up for the slight lack of arm strength. Reminded me a lot of Colt McCoy.

He looked good in some areas, he looked horrid in others.

Curious to see how he does in the remainder of the season.

Also curious to see if people will root against him just because they want the team to lose so we can get a better draft pick.

At the very least we should get a good idea if he might be worth bringing back next year as a backup. I am not buying into the Moore Era yet.

Made mostly good reads. Clearly sparked the offense when he got in there.

Plays with confidence...which lead to some poor INTs.

I like that he came back after his mistakes and didn't play scared.

As many have called out, he needs to learn his limitations and not force throws. Just doesn't have the arm strength.

Too early to tell, but all in all, would take more positives than negatives from his performance. And unlike the other two bozos, he at least has upside.

Moore looked like with a good QB coach not named Wilson or even Garrett, he may develop into a serviceable #3 or even #2 depending on his progress. But I liked his pocket awareness and guts to fling it downfield. He really does need some coaching, filmwork and reps, unfortunately not with this staff.

JAG, he's nothing special, he's small, slow of foot and not a big arm.....four years in college, four years in the pros, three under Linehan....Don't expect to see him on this roster next year..

He's got happy feet and looked better than I expected a fourth stringer to look like.

I won't compare him to Cassell.

That's just rude.

Happy feet? Did you guys even watch the game?

He was far more calm in the pocket than I thought he would be for a QB that hasn't played a meaningful game in the NFL before.

He was reading the defense quickly. He's decisive with the ball. He's elusive in the pocket and bought some time. He's got that spark that you look for in a QB. His problem was that, while he read the coverage quickly, he read it wrong or just plain missed a defender twice. Once because he was under pressure and 'pulling a Tony.' Once because he was staring down a receiver.

I short, he's making mistakes you'd expect a young QB to make, but they're still mistakes. He'll have to demonstrate that he can take better care of the ball at this level. I think he's got a shot, though. I'm looking forward to watching him the next two weeks. Probably the only thing I'm looking forward to still with this dismal season. That, and maybe watching Lawrence continue to make strides if he can. Knocking WAS out of the playoffs would be a nice consolation prize, too, if we can get a shot at it.

Knocking WAS out of the playoffs would be nice. But the downside is that we'd be helping Philly. The NFCE should just sit out this year's playoff's :)

On Moore, I think he showed a bit of a spark and I wouldn't mind him in a back up position. He'd have to show a whole lot more for me to think he'd have any shot at being a starter in this league though.

His arm strength is limited. That doesn't bode well for making the opposition respect the deep ball. Since Moore needs to rainbow the deeper throws, the farther he goes downfield, the more apt he is to get picked off. I'm not especially enthused about his suitability for the long haul but for now, he appears to be an improvement over what we've had. Additional evidence would be helpful, though. I do not see him as a likely candidate as a Romo replacement but it's within the realm of possibility that he might prove a candidate for backup duty, given time and experience.

He is a 3rd string QB in the NFL. If he is on this roster when the regular season comes,he will be 3rd string or on the practice squad.

I disagree. He wasn't Rodgers out there but he had some decent zip on it, better than advertised I thought.

If you didn't notice his need to rainbow his longer throws somewhat excessively, you probably weren't paying attention.

For a first start against a top 5 defense he show promise. I can not say how many times the Jets bought heat to him. Cassel would not have made half of Moore throws under the same circumstances. It's just too bad he only 2 more games to start.
