The Dak crowd has little to add so they always go back to name calling. It's funny, because the main point being made here was that Stephen Jones, and earlier Jerry Jones, aren't helping us by drolling all over Dak like a bunch of homers, because that will drive the price up. And then there are those of us who are worried that they not really even trying to negotiate themselves a fair price and ready just to throw money at Dak. Funny how you guys don't have faith in the ownership when it comes to things like hiring coaches, but when it comes to contract negotiations, you don't mind them overspending, probably secretly because you are such big fan boys yourself that you willing to pay Dak any price anyway yourself.
Again, we are currently paying a Franchise QB for someone who's not on the team.
Most teams pay a high salary for a franchise QB, and those who don't overpay in FA (for a lesser or aging QB) and/or gamble draft resources trying to find one, just HOPING that they could land a QB. It's called business in the NFL.
The hope is that you can find success while on his rookie contract, and that you can keep drafting well to replace some of the players you will lose.
For some time now, the Cowboys have done a great/really good job in drafting and have a young, up-and-coming dynamic team with a very good QB at the helm, who might be able to do some damage in the playoffs.
But, you and your cronies are so caught up in your hate that you can't even appreciate the opportunity in front of you.
You cry about the QB, and I'll focus on the playoffs.
