I like him, I've always have. Team is really in far better shape than they were before he got here. Not only from a record standpoint, but they actually have players who don't get in trouble or go on the Krispy Kreme diet in the offseason. I don't worry about having these awful drafts where none of the players turn out to be worth a damn. And quite frankly, I'd be hard pressed to believe that another coach could have gotten more out of the same talent this year.

I equate Parcells' work with the special teams with the amateur mechanics I know. They love working on motors and are constantly under the hoods of their cars "tinkering." They can't leave it alone, and their cars never really run right. That's Parcells and special teams. He's always messing around with it because he believes that he coaches it better than anyone.

The special teams is far better than it was before Parcells got here. McBriar may struggle with some consistency, but he's far far better than guys like Micah Knorr and Filip Filipovic.

The special teams coverage I think has allowed only 1 return for a TD in his time here. Tyson Thompson had a fine year.

The only thing that has killed them is field goal kicking. Their punt returns haven't been dynamic, but by no means bad either.

Love him.

My favorite NFL Coach.

Brought a much needed focus on character and passion back to my favorite football team.
Breathed new life into my love of the Cowboys.

Not many famous people (if any) that I would like to meet and have a conversation with. He is one of them.

He is not perfect and I am fully aware of his flaws. But so is he and I respect him for that.

No coach in the NFL today that I would rather have.

I had a customized blue Dallas jersey made with "PARCELLS" across the back. Possibly the only one in existence. I wear it with pride every Sunday.

Obviously Parcells is a good coach...In his hey day great.

I've never cared for Parcells...For some reason he just seems wrong as the Cowboys Head Coach.

I'm really sick and tired of this I have to think about whether I want to come back or not crap every year.

I mean what's with that? He seems to be the only coach except maybe Vermeil that has to THINK about if he wants to come back?

If he leaves and I really don't care if he does...The Cowboys need to hire a Young up and comer coach who has the drive and desire to build a Championship team and then wants to stay and keep on winning.

I feel Parcells just cares about his legacy and not about the Cowboys.

Here's my assessment -- before BP got here, nobody, except the Commanders, hated to play us. Now teams legitimately fear us. If the OL had a few better breaks this year -- specifically no Flo or Rivera injuries (and maybe no Rogers injury) we'd be looking at a playoff game - possibly even a bye.

I for one don't know how we go into Carolina and beat them in there house. We obviously had a game plan that worked. But where was that game plan or motivation when we needed it the most,@ NY and @ Washington?

Those 2 games stick out in my mind, because both were division games and both were huge. Both times ended in the same results. The team looked flat and unprepared for those games. And in the end those games came back to be a deciding factor in our playoff hopes.

How can a coach not see this? Is it because we had the medicore line? Then explain how we win in Carolina. Was it the return of our running game? Well that all starts in practice and preparing for a game. Something the team didn't have in NY and Washington.

Why would NY or WAshington fear us? One swept us and the other dominated us despite losing 1 in overtime. I seriously doubt if a healthy Philly fears us either.

Clearly, the lowly Rams didn't fear us or Parcells much.

Yeah...If that's fear, I'd hate to see those games if they didn't fear us. :D

We are a FG kicker away from making the Playoffs, Bill is still a good coach and we are not that far away. Parcells makes mistakes just like all coaches do,living around here, I can tell you that Cowher has gotten critizied for his playoff failures and until Big Ben arrived not have a franchise QB. Andy Reid is getting killed here on the Radio and Newspapers for Personnel decisions this last offseason and throwing the ball too much despite all his success. Just last year, we heard the game passed Joe Gibbs bye and now look!. Fix the O line and get us a good FG kicker and the Cowboys will be fine. I think this is more about Parcells's Tough Jersey guy image not wearing well in Texas.

No, I just feel we are on Par with them, clearly everybody will get better, no one is going to be dominant in the NFC East, all the teams in that division have issues.

Have you looked at our defensive roster recently? To refresh your memory, it's filled with youngsters with a lot of production and potential. The offense is next. You can't fix everything at once.

Here is the problem I have with BP when it comes to the defense. Roy Williams, La'Roi Glover, Dat Nguyen, and Greg Ellis were already here.

The year he got here he took Newman with the #5 overall pick in the draft.

Spears, Canty, Ware, and Henry were all added this year.

What exactly did BP do for the defense the first two years he was here other than Newman and Bradie James? That is a major reason why Dallas is missing the playoffs again this year.

I saw no vision for the team when BP took over, that is probably my biggest gripe about BP. What exactly did BP do in FA his first two years?

It is like he took the first two years off. Yeah, I know we got the playoffs his first year. However, I already knew that team was not a talented one. That was clearly a smoke and mirrors season.

I will give BP credit for the defensive additions this year and Jason Witten his first year. Unfortunately if you build at that rate we will not have a contender for another 5 years or so.

Heres how I feel about it, and I know Im gonna get flamed for it.

IMO there are 2 maybe 3 games we lost because of the stupid 3-4, and now we are going to lose our best d-linemen in Ellis and maybe Glover too because of Bills stubborness to play the scheme.

Tom Landry invented the 4-3 for a reason, its a far superior scheme. Bill can go and take the 3-4 with him. Our o-line stunk most of the year. Our kicking game was putrid. Bill plays 1990's football (playing not to lose), when a team is down go for the throat.

These are the main reasons why were sitting on the couch watching the playoff instead of praticipating in them.

Ad nausium...BP is past his prime. I applaud the last 3 years in restocking the defensive talent and the old football parabels of his PC's.

It happens...Landry, Shula, BP...they were all old school coach's. Won a lot in their youth, but burned out after years of coaching.

His "Too old to lose" comment sealed his fate. "Too old to lose" means you don't have time to (re)build a team correctly and instead try to patch a team together with older established vets.

Once and a while it will all work out and you can go from 5-11 to a Superbowl...Most of the time it doesn't. then you are left with a retired coach and old players with bad contracts.

Who was Jimmy Johnson when he came here. The laughing stock of the leauge. He ripped the team apart, we went 1-15 and rebuilt from the bottom up.

"Too old to lose", you can't do that. You are on a time clock and have to win now or fail.

Hey Bill, thanks for the defense. Now we need an injection of youth on offense...BP is just "Too old to lose" to do that...IMHO.

Parcells' neglectance of the kicker position has really surprised me. I expected a run at John Hall his first year here, but he quickly signed with Washington. I'm very, very surprised he has been so ready to stay status quo at a position I always thought he paid utmost attention.

I, too, hate the "we're a kicker away from [insert record]" argument. Sure, we need a kicker, but if that's our biggest objective this off-season, we're in for a lot of trouble next year.

Cundiff only missed 3 from inside the 40 his last 3 years. He hit some big ones against the Giants and I think the Rams a couple years back too.

I don't think Bill cares about a guy who can nail a 55 yarder, he wants consistency inside 40, and pre-2005 Billy pretty much gave him that.
