Kiss his butt...put him in the ROH now...fire him...blame him for everything.

REQUESTS:

1. Don't argue with others or attack their opinions...read and share.

2. Don't repeat your opinion every time someone else posts a differing view...repeating something over and over doesn't make it any more interesting.

I'll go first...and I'll be brief:

Never liked Parcells...still don't.

Other than his total failure at every OL move he's made, I do respect most of his other personel moves...Looks like he'd make a pretty good advisor to the gm, but I'd never make him gm because he probably wouldn't even let his head coach talk to the press...lol...and I certainly wouldn't want him hiring our next coach.

As a coach, I have seen nothing impressive. He didn't call a good offensive game when he was doing it, and he was always slow getting the plays in. I often disagree with his game decisions, and I don't like the way he handles players.

He's improved our personel in 3 seasons...we expected that...but I don't see that he coaches the players very well, and I think we had more games this season when we were unprepared to play than in recent history. I'm not impressed with his actual coaching or the coaches he's hired.

Theres no denying that he's a good coach. BUT, he's human, he makes mistakes, and is not above being called out.

I was happy when he was first brought here, was kinda down on him last year, and now I couldn't care less if he's our coach next year. His beggest weakness is his stubborness. He won't make adjustments to what is hurting his team. He won't play younger players when we have nothing left to play for.

Seems like he just can't admit being wrong.

Retire or stay....who cares.

Never a BP fan, I do respect the fact that he is a hall of fame coach, Brought talent to this team no question. He is a good talent evaluator!

Horrible play caller, too conservative, rigid and completely stubborn to a fault! He will remain a play not to lose coach and that will limit this teams success!

Made several poor decisions: Refusal to bring in veteran line help,no proven coverage safety. Not bringing in a proven kicker! Players that he feels comfortable with are old and last but not least He refuses to bring in a young QB, because he has no committment to the future of this TEAM!

It will always be about him and his legacy not the COWBOYS!

He seems like a prick, I would rather have a beer and talk football with Mooch or Jim Mora JR who dont seem full of themselves.

I don't care if he stays or retires.

If he goes I hope he does it soon.

If he stays he has a whole lot of work to do for next season.

Never liked him. Overrated, arrogant and a failure as HC of the Dallas Cowboys.

Get hm out of here and lets build a team the right way for the long term.

Miserable, stubborn piece of crap who hates young guys. Look at Cincy's roster teeming with young, productive players at the skill positions. Then look at ours. Night and day. We cannot come back next year with Bled, Key and Glenn the starters.

My biggest fear is what lies on the other side of the "Parcells era." My concern with him has always been that when he's no longer our coach, who will be? I could really see Jerry handing the reigns to a Zimmer, trying to keep continuity with the personnel and hoping that Parcells might have rubbed off on him somewhat. After all the personnel shifts and commitments we made last off-season, I would be highly -- highly -- surprised if Jerry switched gears and brought in someone outside the Parcells circle.

That's why I don't get all warm and fuzzy about Parcells leaving, and fear that we might have that grass is greener on the other side syndrome.

I just can't see us bringing in a bunch of Parcells guys (and handing out a lot of money) and changing to a 3-4 one off-season, then going in an entirely new direction the very next year.

I like the gradual improvement this squad is made, and do feel we have the talent brewing that, given some more upgrades, could contend. For that reason, I want to stay status quo for one more year.

I don't think he is overrated but I do believe the game has passed him by a bit. He is just too conservative for my taste. I prefer a coach who is an innovator. Someone who is bit more creative in his approach to the game instead of trying to force his old ways down everyone's throat. Landry was an innovator. Too bad we can't find another Landry.

Bill Parcels has done many awsome things for Dallas that will carry us into a bright future of consitantly winnning football. He has gained respect around the league for the Dallas Cowboys among players, coaches, referees, ownership and fans. Bill has brought players that wouldn't have played here in former years, he has also had his hand in picking pretty talanted players in the Draft like Whitten, Barber, Jones, Ware, Canty and many more.

Bill has instilled a mentality of toughness that will carry the Dallas Cowboys into the NFL with a better chance for the next decade to win alot of games, Bill is the best thing in Coaching we could have brought in here to date.

And that's all I have to say about that right now.

I like him better than Campo, Gailey and Switzer.

I think he's done a good job stocking the defense.

I'm surprised at how incompetent he's been with his OL personnel decisions.

His trying to win-now with old bus-driver veteran QB's while not trying to develop a quality young QB at the same time is idiotic. It basically shows he's only here for a short time (which we knew) - but also that he isn't concerned about the future of the franchise. Same with the WR's.

I'm 50/50 on whether I want him to stay or leave. The old BP guys who have no future drives me crazy.
On the other hand, I like the way he keeps Jerry in check and has a major say in draft decisions. With the exception of OL and ignoring the QB position, I think we have done a vastly superior job of drafting over the previous 8-9 years when Jerry was in total control of those decisions. I fear once BP is gone JJ will take the keys back and return to giving the next HC little or no authority ala the Gailey/Campo years. That thought makes me wanna puke.

Above are all reasons I hate Parcells, but the one that really pisses me off is

the way is the featured guy in every Dallas Cowboy promotion, I hate that, I don't want to see him and his man boobs, I would rather see one of our players getting hyped rather than our f'ing coach, kind of a dumb reason I know but most of my other reasons have been stated before.

What that basically means is the Cowboys need a new face that isn't Parcells

Stay or go I could really care less, he was a freaking Giant coach

When I first found out he was going to be our coach in 2003 while in the EA Madden Online Forums I was happy as heck and actually started talking crap and getting a little bit more prep in my step.

However, 3 years later the Cowboys are still sitting at home, on the outside looking in and worst yet, to add insult to injury, the Commanders are now starting to beat us.

I always felt he would walk away from the Cowboys without settling the Quarterback, I just had this gut feeling that this would be the case and right now, it is just a big an enigma as it was under former coaches.

I cannot insult Parcells by comparing him to Dave Campo and Chan Gailey, he has done way too much for that. When I saw him take over the reigns, I thought about Bill Belichek, Andy Reid, Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Tony Dungy type success 3 years later.

In essence, I thought we would kind of be where the Bengals, Chargers, and probably even the Browns.

After seeing numerous articles showing Bill is actually doing a worst job here then as far as Wins and Loss then his other jobs, something is starting to tell me that he may have lost it and is out of touch with the NFL at this point...I dont know.

Like one poster stated, at this point, I dont care if he walks away or stays on.

I am just sick of next year..always next year.

I cringed when Parcells was hired. Why didn't we hire Chuck Noll or Bill Walsh? He was always the enemy and I thought he was overrated. A band aid coach who likes bandaid players. I came to terms with it however and hoped he could rehabilitate the coaching job in Dallas and make it more attractive. I think he has done that. (Now if Jerry can keep it that way) I think continuity is important so him leaving now would be harmful to that. For me it comes down to this: Can we win a Super Bowl before he leaves. Since we haven't won a PLAYOFF game in three years I think its unlikely. Having concluded this, I think its time for him to go. Restart with a young smart coach give him the power you gave BP and stick with him. The number one criteria would be someone who can spot and attract good coaching talent. I like Cam Cameron from San Deigo, Jim Schwartz from Tennessee, Mark Richt from Georgia, and Scott Linehan from The Dolphins.

Have you looked at our defensive roster recently? To refresh your memory, it's filled with youngsters with a lot of production and potential. The offense is next. You can't fix everything at once.

I agree....I hope he finishes his contract and gets us into the playoffs next year...then if he wants to retire, I'll hope JJ has learned enough to bring in a new coach and staff who's excited about our players and has a plan for the future to get us to the final prise. Of course, like everything else around Dallas, it seems it's more up to Bill than to anyone else.

We haven't won a PLAYOFF game in 9 years ... Dec. 28, 1996 was our last playoff win.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

I'm not sold on BP, but I'm afraid of JJ coming back and doing what he did to this team for the prior 10 years before BP came along.

10 years of lousy drafts.
10 years of horrible FA's.
10 years of pathetic coaching hires.
10+ years of losing.
I can't deal with anymore of it.

I really think some of you guys underestimate this coach. Maybe, the conservative play calling was because, He knew our O LINE wasn't going to protect Drew B with great consistency. Maybe he knew that Drew B wasn't exactly mobile and didn't want to risk injury to the only QB we have that has any experience. Maybe he knew that to win championships, you need to have a dominant Defense and thus he put the peices in place for that , first. This team was dreadful and had very little talent on either side of the ball, when he got here. Now this team is on its way up, with a huge talent pool esp on Defense. Throw in 2 good RB's which every team needs, a good TE and at least one good young WR. Yes some lineman didn't work out that he choose, but that is the case on every team. Pro Bowl Lineman aren't easy to find and aren't made overnight. There is a reason, not many rookies start on the OL in this league. Could he have went out and got a veteran RT before the season? Maybe, but who is to say that any that we could have gotten would have done any better. Billy Cundiff, was a proven kicker, inside the 40 anyway, how could he have known that Billy lost it after his injury. I like the way Bill P has put this team together. I think this year and off season, we see a draft and FA picks for the offense much like we did for the D last year. That being said, I don't like the fact that we are still relying on an aging QB to get the job done. I hope he stays, and I hope he signs an extension. But I would really like to see him get a young QB and develop him next year.
