Are they game helmets or just practice helmets?

The NFL is allowing an alternate helmet this year. Not sure how often.

I don't like it. I want to see the players faces with the bloody noses, busted lips, missing teeth, spitting blood, etc. That is what real football is. Anyone that remembers the old days remembers the toughest guys refused to leave the field just because their nose got broken. Break an arm? Cast it and use it as a club the next week or two. Real football.

Don’t like them I’m old school. I know they moved away from the old style helmet design to make them safer but these are a little extreme. They look too much like motorcycle helmets.

I think they are getting so 3D raised it is getting hard to put a logo on the side look at this one.

Kinda hard to imagine getting a sticker on that w/o looking weird.

Don’t like it, it is a distraction to the logo. They can do better and still get the protection.
There is nothing in that style that shows it protects the head better.

I like it. I’m thinking that the NFL should add explosive armor to the helmets like you see on tanks these days, would lessen head trauma!

I like it. I’d love to see a field full of Marvel movie Iron Man and War Machine looking players in the field. Would be cool as hell. All decked out in full padding that looks like metal armor.
