Should be mandatory for helmets to have a space for the helmet decal - same way as cars must have a number plate space.
Man, that helmet makes their head look huge.
I like themLooks like an anime cartoon helmet. I'm not a fan and hope on game day they go back to the traditional look.
I like the look but it’s really about safetyDon’t like them I’m old school. I know they moved away from the old style helmet design to make them safer but these are a little extreme. They look too much like motorcycle helmets.
Don’t like it, it is a distraction to the logo. They can do better and still get the protection.
There is nothing in that style that shows it protects the head better.
How would you be able to tell whether it provides more or less protection based on the look?
Too high in the back, neck is exposed too much, and too much around the chin area, what does the really do. Seems to be a hindrance. Looks no different in head protection than the current styles as well.
Yes, we can't tell for sure, but who and when and where will they be tested, besides in a lab using watermelons for heads.
Hey guys, we got us a bonafide helmet expert here!
They bought them from the unused costume props of Star Wars? It's possible they put that ridge on the side to deflect the energy up or down, rather than directly toward the head. I'm looking forward to seeing the explanation.
With those helmets were are getting nearer to looking like the Galactic Empire Stormtroopers.
As I stated earlier, I'm guessing the ridge could be there to deflect momentum vertically, rather than full force directly into the head. Other than that, I to noticed it seems a little high in the back of the neck, but that may be an optical illusion. How would you be able to tell whether it provides more or less protection based on the look?
