Home/Away vs 3rd place teams from NFC North and NFC West

Green Bay, Seattle

Honestly-I think our 3rd place schedule is better than the Skins' 4th place one, why? B/c I think the Lions will really upgrade their FO with possibly Pioli(plus they have a ton of picks), and Green Bay has problems, problems, problems.(thanks to a bad draft last year) With Holmgren gone, I think Seattle takes at least 2 good steps back. Hassellbeck is getting old and doesn't have an iron-fisted coach to guide him anymore, and that entire team needs to be revamped. I think the Rams will be better next year.

BTW-we play GB at home and Seattle on the road.

They wouldn't dare put the Raiders on Thanksgiving would they? That means we play San Diego on Turkey Day.

I wouldnt be so quick to dispel the Raiders...they played better this month than we did.

They beat Houston and Tampa to close the season.

If this is accurate (not saying it isn't), then we caught a big break by getting Atl and Carolina at home vs either on the road. Our road schedule is actually very agreeable. Now any of the lesser teams on the schedule could end up being tough games next year, but I like what I see as I sit here at this point in time.

how can we play GB 3 years in a row?

they were in the rotation last yr (NFC North)...this yr we got them because we had the first place schedule

next yr we get them because we got the 3rd place schedule

one interesting thing is had Washington won, I think we'd have finished in last place on tiebreakers and got Detroit and St Louis

Don't forget to add Dallas...home and away. They are by far the biggest opponent Dallas will face.

Al Davis is still a very popular figure, so it wouldn't surprise me. We could get San Diego for a 3:15pm game with Nance/Simms calling it, alot like they did with NE 2 years ago.

Where did you get the list?

I made it up

Nah, its up on DMN now, although we've known for a long time about the NFC and AFC divisional matchups and home/away there. Those are set for years now.

The only thing that wasnt known was the two other NFC Opponents.

I strongly dislike fans like you. You never give any credit to the opposing teams. "We lost because WE played bad." Ever thought the other team might have played well?

I'm not saying we were error-free this year, but don't take away from teams who fought hard for the win, and say it was all us, and not them.

Wouldnt it make more sense to play GB at home and SEA away? I'm not sure how they manage home/away with the positional pairings but we played GB at GB and SEA at home this year. just sayin

The site is determined by how you finish.

Weird that ALL FOUR of last year's division winners in the NFC finished 3rd in their respective divisions this year, and ALL FOUR 2nd place teams from last year won the division this year.
