.

Not to mention the fact to get a viable QB you need to either be at the top of the first round, or get someone else's cast off. Where is the capital to get to the top of the 1st? Are you certain these guys can find an adequate replacement? How do you know the team will not see an exodus of players and coaches when you jettison all the work they have done to make the team play-off worthy?

And your idea you can get a first round pick for Dak ignores the fact you are dumping him, the league and talking heads are saying he is crap, and unless the team you are trading him to will have been in a time warp and hasn't seen the results you think is imperative to a trade, then your theory here is wishful thinking.
You can get to the top of the first round… See eagles 2016.

Some Downward trajectory quarterbacks have more value then you think… See Carson Wentz 2020. 1st and 3rd.

Good players who contributed, traded away for peanuts. See Amari Cooper 2020 - fifth round pick after giving a first.

We aren't dealing with a top flight brain trust in Jethro and Little Anus Jones.

And the word is than, not then.

Yeah, history could repeat itself with the Garrett Part II Jerry Redemption Plan, aka promoting Moore to HC.
Not the biggest Moore fan boy but I'm also not in the full blown scapegoating him for all this year's failures as many here have jumped in on.

I guess, like you said but in reverse for me, I wonder how Moore would do with a different QB. Maybe not a total black and white explanation but you could at least compare the 2's performance from there.

Or they could both either stink it up or flourish without the other as well showing a 50-50 blame split.

Valid point as too often the play called catches the criticism when it was the execution. No OC's have false starts, holding, missed blocks, dropped balls, errant passes, batted balls, fumbles or sacks in their playbooks.

First off, Jerry loves him, so he’s not going anywhere… There’s also that nasty no trade clause…But what if…

Impossible
Cut this offseason, pre June 1. 89m in dead money.

Not impossible,
Cut this offseason, post June 1. There is no point to do this as his P5 is guaranteed. Literally no reason to do this…

Possible but kills our 23 offseason.
Trade this offseason, pre June 1. A little cheaper than Outright cutting him as his guaranteed p5 would move with him. Still 58m in dead money.

Plausible
Trade this off-season, post June 1. This is the sweet spot. We would save 31m in cap space for 2023. We would still have 40 million in Dead money, but it would be spread over future years 2024 - 2026.

Trade - You ask why would anybody trade for him? The answer is that since we would eat his remaining signing bonus, the acquiring team would get him on a two year 65m non guaranteed contract. There is actually value in that… Still that no trade clause though.

So there you have it. The only realistic option for 2023 is a post June 1 trade, that Dak agrees to. I think we could get a first round pick for for him… Maybe something like the Carson Wentz deal between Philly and Indy - a 23 third rounder and conditional 24 first rounder. .

Dak is going nowhere anytime soon. And right now he’s far from our biggest issue. CB, WR and DT are much more of a concern. Add LB with LVE out. Dak gave us a chance to win last week despite horrible defense. As he does most weeks.
