Great post although I'll admit I don't know most of the lower round guys. I'm not sold on Kerrigan but if Marenilli wants him here then that's fine with me.

Better trade down on the 1st rd pick (unless Donald falls or Lewan is there) and trade up from round 7. Dallas clearly does need mid round picks including round 6.

That's about what it has come down to me for the first round.

Could you get a 2nd rounder if you slid down far enough in the 1st?

Could you imagine being able to pluck Shazier, Crichton and Easley in the first two rounds?

Probably not in a draft where everybody and their mother is trying to move down. Buyers market for the teams picking 22-32. And even if Jerry was able to get a 2nd Crichton isn't making it very far into the 2nd to make that realistic. Trading back for a 3rd and then trading our 2nd and 3rd to move back up into the 2nd is somewhat possible though.

Me too. But I'm in board with Barr too at 16. No Donald, Barr and I trade down

Normally I'd advocate this move but, given Dallas' need for an impact player at #16, I'd would stay put and take the best lineman available -- offense or defense.

What I don't understand is how Barr, a LB at UCLA, is often described as a tackling machine with speed and instincts, but not a physical player, more a grab and drag tackler who sometimes gets caught up in a block....how is a guy described like that supposed to make a good transition to DE with his hand on the ground, taking on blocks every play?

sent a group to LSU's pro day. Including the running back coach. So did they check out the DT's or the WR's maybe Turner, as well as Hill th RB.

Listening to the draft show right now and they said Callahan gave Turner a personal workout. About the 35 min. in, give or take a few min.
