He’s quick. Doesn’t have a lot of miles on his frame. 28 years old.His career avg is 3.8 yards per carry so he’s no 2016 Zeke.
I like your optimism and hope you’re right. He’s quick. Doesn’t have a lot of miles on his frame. 28 years old.
Scored a lot of TDs in college ball.
All-Conf. 3rd team All American.
he needs solid coaching. His career has been wasted.

Links?I love all of the articles where head coaches around the league are saying how their guys stink.
Every year Cowboys fans fall for it. Stephen, the "Director of Player Personnel," does next to nothing to improve the actual personnel and every year the head coach (McCarthy, Garrett, you pick) tells you how excited they are about the players. what else are they going to say? Are there people out there who think McCarthy would say publicly that the FO let down the club by sitting out of free agency and only signing bargains?
If Royce is much like zeke then I'd rather have a younger Royce rather than an older zeke.I don’t believe so. He may be a veteran on the practice squad who gets a few call ups.
I like Royce and follow Oregon pretty closely. But I feel he is too much like Zeke to justify a spot on the 53.
But he is a great blocker and great special teamer. So he could sneak on with that 52nd or 53rd spot.
What I should of said was best. I mean the sad fact that our best RB right now is probably Zeke makes me want to cry.Im hoping that "starting" is just a technicality...that we be creative and adept enough yo move personnel around, subbing, etc....and not "bellcow".
Let's not cry in our beer just yet. If we could only have a run blocking o-line...maybe we can have a little fun along the way. What I should of said was best. I mean the sad fact that our best RB right now is probably Zeke makes me want to cry.
no jerry wont allow it , zeke is the guy!!Is he gonna play is the question...
If Zek gets more than 6 carries a game it is a huge mistake.I still just can't believe Zeke Elliot is our starting RB in 2024. Best short down distance player in the league, but probably the worst starting RB.
The run blocking scheme sucked last year. I wish they would have fired the O line coach!Depends on the o-line. If they can spring some actual holes..we'll be alright.
I'm actually looking for a lineman to be up the field a few yards looking for a hulk-smash ala O. Pace. Instead of getting pushed into the handoff.

That's a great point! I completely agree. If he can keep Zeke from being overused I'll be happy.

FRISCO - Former Oregon Duck running back Royce Freeman is earning major praise from the Dallas Cowboys for his rushing attack and ability to quickly adjust to the Cowboys. Just a few weeks after signing a one-year contract in Dallas, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is suggesting the real possibility of an immediate impact for the veteran.
“Very impressed with him,” McCarthy said on Wednesday at Cowboys OTAs. “When you have the opportunity to play in a number of different systems, I’m very impressed with how quickly he picked up the language. Football comes pretty easy to him. It’s natural. You can see that protection. He has been an excellent addition.”

But Freeman has played in the league six seasons (since 2018, and with four different teams)...odd that in your title thread you stated his college team instead of noting his experience in the NFL.
