I don't believe we take a tackle that early. I expect a round 2 tackle to play this year which means moving Collins back inside. If we do that then we'll lose Collins at contract time and we need a left guard again. I think we try again with another Chaz Green in round 3 or 4 and hope that guy becomes a better swing tackle than green.
please stop with moving collins

A center doing 21 reps is way different than a tackle doing 14. C'mon now you're better than this.

I think bench press numbers are of very limited help in evaluating OL. If you want to trash Brown there are better arguments against him than his bench press numbers.

Where do you guys see Brown going now after his lackluster combine numbers?

Depends on how his interviews went. If that went as poorly as the on field workout, he will drop like a rock. Other than that, unless he improves a bit at his pro day workout, 4th round or so.

My guess is earliest is very late second, but likely 3rd to 4th.

1st Rd.

3yr starter at a major D1 program.
never missed a start.
off-field clean.
3x all-big XII.
2x Off. Lineman of the Year...as voted by coaches.
You dont draft him for obstical courses....you draft him to block.
McGlinchey is my #1 OT.....Orlando is my #2....watch his tape.
Not a popular opinion now....but he is still the 2nd best OT in the group.
main issue....lose weight.

You wanna make a bet he'll never be a perennial starting OT in this league?

no cause I'll jinx it.
I aint draftin Orlando Brown for the superstars competition....Im drafting him to block.
everybody said he'd struggle at the combine because of his size...and he did.
He has great tape and 3yrs of solid production at a major program.
Kolton Miller,Ucla had a GREAT combine but so-so tape.
Cant judge'em by obstical courses....judge'em on the field.
Gimmie Brown over Miller or connor williams.

I agree however 14 reps of 225 from a 300+ pound man after a D1 CFB strength program tells me he is either recovering from an undisclosed injury or didn't put the work in to get stronger because he put up 180 pound CBs type numbers. Everyone here complained about Free's lack of strength and he put up 22 reps. If brown were coming out of Idaho state I might overlook it and hope an NFL S&C program will get him where he needs to be, but he doesn't have that excuse.

When you put it all together the guy has bust written all over him.

Before the combine he wouldn't last to #20.
agreed.
now folks will go back to his tape.
I still think he is the #2 OT behind McGlinchey...and he'll still go in the 1st.
his tape is awesome.
I also think Okoronkwo goes in the 1st.
But if Brown's bad combine drops him...Id love for us to get him.
Hell,Id still want him at 19....just not sure if he could play OG.
Boy that'd be a helluva sight....Collins-Brown-Frederick-Martin-Smith.
Good luck vs THAT.

I'll take Tyrell Crosby in Round 2: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/tyrell-crosby?id=2559836

He's a very similar Tackle to Jeremy Parnell, as the link states. For those of you that don't remember Parnell, he was a very good Right Tackle for us, and he would fill in admirably when Doug Free would miss time. He's the sort of player that I think could be very solid for us. Furthermore, drafting Crosby allows us to move Collins back to LG which would be very helpful.

Who is this Parnell of whom you speak...
