The problem with OSA, by the end of the season, he’s gassed out like Parsons
Moving goal posts. It’s what haters do.Cd 30m, parsons record deal, dak if they do him. Where’s this money coming from?
Not really. There’s good info there.Significantly worse. BTB is know for pumping bottom of the roster players as future starter/stars. They pander to homer segment of the fanbase
Sigh, it seems they do. Pyschologists could write their thesis about this place. Why do fans get so upset when a positive article is written.
Do they want to always read negative stuff?
Nope, didn't you hear the news? Anything positive about the Cowboys is nothing but forced propaganda from Jerry himself. This team is set to be the first 0-17 team in league history. Not really. There’s good info there.
I think the bigger question is if he takes the next step in his development can the Cowboys afford to keep him? For reference Malik Collins is making over $11M per year right now. I'd have to think OSA gets $15-18 just by keeping status quo for this season. If a few more of those hurries turn into sacks he's easily another $20M+ player the Cowboys have to budget for.He is, and that could be the case if he thrives under Zimmer, which could very well happen.
Let’s say it does. Do they retain him based on one year? Is Zimmer even still here then?
Lots of questions.
Tyrone Crawford unfortunatelyI am not disagreeing or agreeing, but just out of curiosity, when was the last time Dallas resigned a DT they drafted in any round? It might be right in front of me but I can't recall.
That’s what I mean…. maybe they can’t in that case. Even if they could/do, it’ll be based on one good year in this particular scheme, one we don’t even know will still BE the scheme in 2025.I think the bigger question is if he takes the next step in his development can the Cowboys afford to keep him? he looks like he could be a solid player if used correctlyI'd like to see what he can do with a dominant 1-tech next to him. He's not a difference maker on his own but solid dt.
He's a good player at a position that needs an Aaron Donald or Chris Jones. He's the best we've got and had in a long time, though. Not interested too much in the “Best kept secret” thing, but Osa has been a solid DT and made a step up last year. Looking forward to see if he can flourish even more under Zimmer.

I don’t think anyone is saying he’s a Chris Jones. He’s a solid DT. Why do you dwell on his negatives? Every player has negatives. Jeez. He's a good player at a position that needs an Aaron Donald or Chris Jones. He's the best we've got and had in a long time, though.
A lot of fans just fail to understand that the 3-tech spot drives this alignment. If you have a DT who gets consistent pressure and sacks, who disrupts the run game by regularly getting into the backfield, it makes the defense go.
I know few teams have a Chris Jones, but others like Justin Madubuike, Ed Oliver and Chris Wilkins provide a similar kind of presence. Odighizuwa doesn't scare anyone. He doesn't have to be game-planned around.
The problem with Osa is he's getting starter reps when he's really a backup on a team with talent at the position. The problem with OSA, by the end of the season, he’s gassed out like Parsons
He's a solid rotational piece on a defense that needs more than that from 3-tech. Some of us want this to be the kind of defense we had in the 1970s and early 2000s, the kind you need to win Super Bowl titles. Odighizuwa could be a part of that but we're counting on him to be more than he is.I don’t think anyone is saying he’s a Chris Jones. He’s a solid DT. Why do you dwell on his negatives? My dog knows it was negative. You immediately went there instead of the opposite. That’s all I’m saying. You almost always do it.He's a solid rotational piece on a defense that needs more than that from 3-tech. I'm just speaking the truth here. If you see that as negative, well, that's you. Osa is a four- or five-sack 3-tech on a defense that needs him to be an eight- or 10-sack disruptor. When we look at our defense and ask what it needs for this team to have playoff success, that's what it is. We have not had that in a very long time. To Osa's credit, he's the closest that we've had ... and some fans are so used to mediocre play there that they mistake it for what we need.
You see everything as negative unless it is praising the team. I generally don't even respond to things you post because you go on the attack instead of being able to have a fan discussion about a topic. My dog knows it was negative. Championship!Yes his play last season was noticeably better.
However, incoming 3, 2, 1 .....
