OTC has a value of around $10M. I will admit, I have no idea how close it is to his true value on the open market, but if he walks, you get a compensatory pick, and a new starter will be needed at DT.
Side note: As good as he's been our rush defense is still near the bottom. In other words, he hasn't helped our run defense as much as we'd like.

Honestly, I'm on the fence ...it's hard to build a team when you are letting solid drafted players walk but on the other side, he's just one piece of the puzzle. Tough call

What I would do and what the Jones clan will do are likely two different things. The way they undervalue that position I'm sure they are leaning on letting him walk and take the comp pick. But I would try to resign him. Just don't tag him.
You know Jerry will probably let him walk. You're right about how they undervalue that position!! Jerry thinks he can get one from the bottom of the barrel after 4 weeks from the start of free agency!! smh

I like Osa but he won't be worth what he will be paid.

And even if he was, we're still not gonna pay it.

The time to sign Osa was last offseason but another contract situation the Jones screwed up. What major contract given would be considered a win for this organization?

I think Odighizuwa gets a little north of what Stewart got last year. Probably close to 15. Thats not bringing a 3rd round pick

All depends on guaranteed money.

15 mil AAV means nothing if the signing bonus is low and any guaranteed salary is within the first two years, for example

I can hear Jerry now saying they needed to use more pie real estate for Parson's new contract. Yada Yada some 35 year old guy they sign in August will be starting there next season.

Unfortunately, I bet his contract will be well over $10 million a year. He is probably the top defensive tackle in free agency and some team will over pay for his services. Would love to keep him with a contract around 4 year $50 with funny money built in but I don’t think that happens.
this. he’s the prototypical type of player you want to retain, and our best player at our weakest position. would absolutely love to keep him and add talent beside him, but i fear his market will be much richer than expected
